VOIP Made to look like Ham Radio Very good interface. Band spread could be better. Biggest problem is US citizens are required to use their amateur radio call sign. Others are not. If this is only for hams, that rule should apply to all. One other thing, with high speed data being cheaper than any other time in the history of the internet, the subscription price is high.
This is great and I will tell you why People who live in apartments do not have the opportunity to have their own ham radio. Antennas can hardly put up for fear that the landlord see's it. It has happened to me. Hamsphere has developed a way for hams to have their own rig even though it is simulated. You just have to believe that it is real. Hamsphere certainly does make the transceiver look real. That is why I give it a five star rating.
Good - but dev please indicate it is a 7-day trial Installed purely out of curiosity and had previously had no aspiration to become a HAM radio operator. This app has piqued my interest and I shall investigate further. No idea how this app compares as I don't think there's much else out there at the moment to compare it against, but from a complete tyro's perspective, it's rather cool. As per headline, would have been nice to have it made clear it was just a 7-day trial, but then, I probably wouldn't have downloaded it on that basis. Proof of the pudding is whether I decide to stump up the $35 annual fee at the end of the trial period.
Complete Farce This isn't radio at all but rather a cheap lookalike of it. It's nothing more than a chat room where you talk to people via the INTERNET. Despite looking like radio, it isn't any such thing and they actually charge money for this BS. Not worth even one star but that's the minimum to rate it.
Not Actual RF Radio This is actually a worldwide VOIP chat room that is made to look like amateur radio. It IS NOT ham radio. The simulation isn't bad, but the description is misleading as to what the technology actually is. The price is steep at 30 euros. Get a real amateur radio license and a good Chinese knock-off radio for little more than that amount. The technician test is easy. The answers are posted on the internet.
truly disappointed! you want to know what messes up a good thing! the fine print y'all talked about everything else but what it takes to enjoy this app! you gotta download the log you gotta do this stuff in the Qt card! You got to do a backflip on a moon to really enjoy this app! don't you think it would be wise to give people a heads up on what is all required to enjoy this! just one mans opinion uninstalled!
