Alquemist’s Ascendance is a 2-player game and is played in rounds under one of two modes. There can be 3, 5 or 7 rounds. There are two modes: Strategy and Risk. The game setup consists of 8 total possible triples given randomly to the players, 4 each, and 8 empty positions in a circle. The basic mechanic is placing silver or gold pieces in the empty positions in the circle. The goal of each player is to create the triples on the circle matching the triples owned by the player. For every triple formed, the player that owns that triple earns 2 points.
The Strategy mode allows the player to place either a silver or gold piece on the circle in each turn. The player may count on having the option to place either type of piece. There are 4 moves per player per round.
The Risk mode allows the player to place a randomly selected piece (silver or gold) on the circle in each turn. The player will not know what piece will be able to place on each turn. There are 4 moves per player per round.
You may select either or both players to be an artificial opponent. Each artificial opponent may be set into either Practice level or Challenge level.
You may turn on hints to have the system provide you with suggestions on your next move. The level of the hints is equivalent to the Challenge level of the artificial opponent.
The game supports the following languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. The game selects the language of the system if it matches one of these languages, otherwise it selects English. The user may change the language to any of the available languages after the game starts.
