With the electronic patient record (ePA) you always have your health data in view. Currently, your records are stored in the files of your respective doctors and you do not have access to this information. This is changing with the electronic patient file: whether it's doctor's reports, blood analyses, X-rays, vaccination certificates or your dental bonus booklet - all of your medical documents can be stored securely in a central location - the ePA.
The IKK BB ePA app is the central portal for everything about your health. It gives you access to various functions, services and offers, all of which can be used independently of one another. The heart of this app is the eponymous electronic patient file, but the other integrated applications, such as the e-prescription app and the IKK BB app, help to bundle your health data and can be accessed at your request via the IKK BB ePA app.
Electronic patient record (ePA)
The electronic patient file is the digital storage location for your personal health data: an archive of collected documents and insights about your health. It facilitates the exchange of knowledge – including between you and your treating doctors. Sharing EHR content speeds up communication and promotes a holistic view of your health.
Thanks to the app on your smartphone, you have the files stored in the ePA - for example important medical reports - always and everywhere at hand. At the same time, you can manage the contents of your ePA yourself, e.g. view, upload, delete documents or set access rights.
E-prescription
You can manage your prescriptions using the e-prescription function: You can redeem e-prescriptions and get an overview of prescriptions that have already been redeemed and those that are still open. Using the integrated search function, you can find the nearest pharmacy directly via the app.
Additional offers
Recommended services that we will redirect you to in the app:
• The IKK BB app: With our other app - the IKK BB app - you can use additional online services, e.g. manage your data, retrieve certificates, search for branches or contact our customer service directly.
• “organspende-register.de”: This is a central electronic directory in which you can document your decision for or against organ and tissue donation online. Entry in the organ donation register is voluntary. The Federal Center for Health Education is responsible for all content. IKK BB is not liable for the content of this website.
• “gesund.bund.de”: This is the official portal of the Federal Ministry of Health, which offers you extensive and reliable information on numerous health topics. The Federal Ministry of Health is responsible for all content. IKK BB is not liable for the content of this website.
Security
The development and approval of electronic patient files is subject to strict legal requirements, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As your IKK BB, the best possible protection of your health data is particularly important to us. To ensure secure access, unique personal identification is required. There are several options you can choose from during the registration process.
