Easy APN Backup and Restore (if rooted!) *Update: Works on Marshmallow 6.01, Nexus 6P, too!* This app worked perfectly on my rooted Nexus 4 & Lollipop 5.1.1. Of course, it didn't work when I first opened the app. Closed the app, then, as instructed by the dev, copied the app .apk file from the root directory /data/apps to /system/priv-app, then restarted the phone (required step). Opened the app, disabled ICS warning, and could easily backup and restore my APNs. NOTE: Don't have root? Don't complain about the app! Thanks dev!
Not working on Android 4.4 I ran v1.7 as a system app and it worked on ICS and JB. The latest update v1.9 doesn't work on CM11 even after moving to /system/priv-app. Offline Sim APN Database works on CM11, was able to get MMS working on Evo LTE on Pageplus...for anyone trying to get MMS working on a flashed phone.
Works when you read the instructions For those of you bashing this app, try reading the instructions first before complaining. It's all spelled out for you. I switched to a MVNO carrier recently and needed this app to run Cyanogenmod 12.1. Talk, text, and data are working just fine.
MUST HAVE .... Nowhere in the description does it say you must have the PAID version of Titanium Backup. I would like to try this but. must have the Donate verison to convert it to the system app. :( I will re-rate it when I can get the PAID Ti Backup. 2 stars.. lack of Documentation.
Has potential Like the others I made it system app, followed instructions and backup was still denied. If you ever find a different solution I'll be happy to give it another try and change my review. Thanks
DIDNT REALIZE THE VALUE OF THIS APP UNTIL NOW. VERY HANDY! This is a must-have app used for backing up and to restore any internet connection issues you may encounter. Restoring from your backup will be a lifesaver! I agree with @AJ_Labretto! YES👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
- Removed the Ads and the Permissions needed for them :)
As such the app always had Ads, just the previous network didn't work properly to show them.
- Using a new Ad Service (Mobclix).
- Added an option to disable the check for ICS devices. This allows the app to be used as a System app on rooted devices.
- Read Phone State/Identity permission required by Mobclix to access a unique identifier that some ad networks require to track impressions..
