About this app

MantisX is a training system that helps you improve your bow handling.

Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: https://mantisarchery.com. It attaches to our detachable rail adapter. The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. The app analyzes the data and diagnoses your shooting mechanics.

Great app, I use X8 Archery. It is like a $50 per hour coach. It needs a few additional functions which I hope are in future upgrades. You get millisecond movements of your bow, stability of each shot in % a consistent low 90% is pretty steady. Difficulty is, you are the one to figure out exactly what you are doing wrong. Mantis gives the raw data it might be one possible reason or 10. I paid $200 for Mantis8. The app n hardware has paid for itself 10 times over in first week. Buy one!!!

Great app to identify any issues you may have whilst shooting. However there are a few niggles, one of which is having to reconnect before every end! Surely it would be better to have some form of storage in the device which would then transfer the data after the session, which is limiting if shooting outdoor rounds. Another issue is that it only does metric rounds and a third is inputting where the arrow hit is overly awkward! But it's still early in development and works well enough!

The app is a good source of metrics, but there's not enough explication in the app about shot circle charts. Also, there's no way to edit out shots. For example if you plucked your. Also, having to recalibrate everytime you loose signal is a real pain. I have to do it every time I walk to the target to plot my arrows. Having the ability to attach notes on each shot would be good. Also when plotting arrows in the app it would be good to have the app plot out a score card. Just some ideas.
