Age of Rivals was inspired by strategy boardgames and designed to be ideal for 1 or 2 players to play in 10 minutes with plenty of depth and replayability. It's the "anti-deckbuilding" CCG, where having only minimal control over your deck encourages endless variety in each game and puts the focus on in-the-moment tactical decision-making.

There are no in-app purchases. All game content unlocks at a constant pace just by playing the game.

Ratings and reviews

Amazing! Its difficult to learn at first so just go through the tutorial carefully and dont be intimidated when you lose a few matches against the AI. The AI is very smart and i can kinda guess when they might do most of the time and it sometimes frustrates me because it's usually a very smart move that i would be hoping itd miss. Once you understand the mechanics, this game becomes a absolute blast. I really hope the developers keep supporting this game.

I am super impressed with this one. If you are a fan of deck building type games, this is a must have. No in app purchases, you get it all and the game has things to unlock so you have some fun acquisition goals. The learning curve is moderate, it will take a handful of matches to understand it fully but afterwards it is super easy. Just a touch of RNG in some cards but not heavily relied on. This ones a gem folks.

I like boardgames. This made me think of 7 Wonders. The game is very good for what it is. Highly replayable. It is however a bit too random for my liking as it leads to a game that is more tactical (making the best choice each turn) as opposed to strategic (trying to affect a long term goal/overall plan). Eventually unlocking all 3 levels of a character, and thus being able to choose 3 cards to bring along, will mitigate this somewhat...but I don't want to play until I get there.

Removed all online account functionality and unlocked most content by default. All user data is only stored on device now.
