Waypoint averaging Please add waypoint averaging in future updates. Even if it is in the paid version and add ability to save to google account or dropbox. Would make app perfect.
Lifesaver Indispensable app for any geologist. Makes fieldwork 100× easier for me since it's an all in one app. Purchased version is totally worth it.
Very useful I've really enjoyed this app. I've tested it multiple times with my Brunton and been within a few degrees in strike and tenths in dip as long as you wave the phone around for a bit to calibrate it. Extremely happy. Now just need to be able to export coordinates as UTM nad83.
Indispensable! This app should be on every geo's phone! I hate taking pen and paper notes in the field, but Rocklogger has changed everything... I've taken hundreds of records by this point, and it's brilliant if you are aware of the limitations of your device. Just watch out if you have a flip case with a magnetic fastener in it, and calibrate often. The only downside (not the apps fault!) is that you're more likely to put your nice phone near rocky outcrops, I trashed my old phone by dropping it face-down on a nice sandstone outcrop. Totally worth it though. Also, this app makes stereonets fun.
Why not integrate camera To all recording modes. I personally will use dip and strike for a traverse, would be nice to have a button to take a quick camera shot (without to much previewing) with its filename saved as current gps coordinates. *Edit* field move seems to be able to provide the in line picture function already and just seems to be a lot more intuitive than rock logger, I'm guessing it will just be a matter of time before it surpasses in other manors too y the look off its development.
