About this game

Welcome back to Vice City. Welcome back to the 1980s.

From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile. Vice City, a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, was one of the most varied, complete and alive digital cities ever created. Combining open-world gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and given the opportunity to take it over as you choose.

I own Vice City on the original Xbox, but to be honest, it hasn't aged well graphically. It looks too blurry on modern tvs which is strange as other OG Xbox games still look great. Anyways, I'm just so glad they made a version for mobile. It looks so good, crisp, and clean. I love the definitive edition but the mobile port definitely gives me a rush of nostalgia everytime. Plus it's GTA on the go, anytime, anywhere. What's not to love?

Definitely some glitches, but loads of fun overall. Auto aim is overkill, but necessary without an external controller. Another glitch is the inability to take off with the seaplane during the movie studio mission. I beat the main story before I got airborne - not sure if that is related. But make a sharp right turn immediately and pull up (down on d pad) while accelerating. You won't go fast, but you do catch a wave just right and go.

Overall a good port of Vice City. If you don't like the mobile controls(which I didn't), you can hook up a controller and it will work. I used a ps4 controller with bluetooth and it worked great. A word of warning though. DONT TRY TO GO FOR 100%. The fire truck minigame is broken: hitting people with the water stream won't knock them down, making it impossible to finish, and thus impossible to 100% the game. It seems others are also having issues in other parts of the game. The bugs bring it down
