It really sucks when you can't find the remote. Then you can't turn the t v on or if it's already on, you can't change the channel. This app is awesome! My remote has been missing for like three weeks. I don't want to go by another one cause I know it's here somewhere.. Plus who can afford that with all the price hikes everywhere you look. I would recommend this application to anybody who has a roku t v in their house.

UPDATED 2023: They appear to finally have fixed the loss of connection. !! Works great now! Worked before all the updates last couple years.. the most ANNOYING thing is I have to "connect" the remote to my Roku EVERY TIME. It's the same phone on the same network and nothing has changed.. why does it lose connection in the first place? I'm a computer engineer and I know how networks work.. you can send a command to any device at any time without "connecting" please fix this.

When you are finished using the app, you MUST force stop it or it will massively drain your phone's battery. If you try to limit background battery use, the private listening feature won't work--the sound will keep cutting out every few minutes. Roku is aware of the problem, but keep repeating the advice to limit background battery use, which they know cripples the app.
