The intro is hilarious. Taco truck moving to Canada due to mutants caused by a president... Whoops, I mean "scientist" accidentally blowing up nuclear bombs. The game is a mixed of management and action game, serving up tacos never been this fun
Easy in the beginning, but wonderfully hard to finish. This game fulfills its roguelike tag by sucking you in with its darkly charming setting and steadily ramping up the challenge with a variety of post-apocalyptic mutants and macabre taco recipes. Gunman Taco Truck is half fast-paced memory game and half swipe-and-tap dodge-and-shoot action, but there may be some elements that will frustrate newer players. Customers continue growing impatient while you consult the in-game recipe book, and your gas tank is always limited in size and increasingly frustratingly expensive to fill. However, overall, Gunman Taco Truck is a deliciously difficult game that will test both mind and reflexes, and serves as a pleasant post-apocalyptic diversion from the current political climate.
I have three complaints; (1) Fix the glitch where the tutorial arrows/highlights sometimes stops you from progressing through, (2) Weapon aim setting should be default set as "Automatic" from the very beginning instead of rapid taps, and (3) the decal stickers' position should be moved manually by the player instead of randomly. Other than those, Great game overall 5/5. I like this rogue-like taco-selling mutant-killing concept.
Not too bad and quite fun. I'll come back when my arm is all healed up. As it is, I struggle to even keep up. :P 'Cos it's quite a rougish restaurant-management game which can be fairly chaotic in terms of combat. I truly dig the music and the animations: all so old-school! :) 4/5 'cos of the issues that plague it and needs more updates to address them. Bug: once, game was stuck at "pick up glowing piece of meat" tutorial. Most of game options couldn't respond or be accessed except pause button. Maybe cos I crashed the truck. There's another lua crash issue bug which I've informed the devs about.
Charming, well thought-out little game. Freemium aspects are not too annoying or intrusive. Some funnny character designs and customer quips. Solid design.
After months of taunting and torturing you about the v1.2 Cop Update – it is finally released. We wrapped up our bug fixes, smuggling dialogue and gib physics – and the result is hilarious! Now, in addition to shooting mutants and making tacos you can also smuggle packages and people across state lines. Get caught and it becomes a highway to hell with your taco truck pitted against an insane mutant cop!
