Droid Sentinel keeps a private, local record of the important things that happen to your phone — so if your device spends time out of your hands (a repair shop, a borrowed phone, left unattended), you can check what was actually done to it.
Everything stays on your device. No account, no cloud, no analytics — nothing ever leaves the phone. The journal itself is locked behind a PIN.
WHAT IT LOGS • App installations and removals • App data cleared • USB connection to a computer, including the mode (file transfer / MTP / PTP, or USB debugging / ADB) • USB debugging (ADB) turned on or off • Developer options turned on or off • Accessibility services enabled or disabled (a common vector for spyware and keyloggers) • Power connected / disconnected • Device boot and shutdown
WHY IT'S USEFUL If someone installs an app, copies files over USB, enables USB debugging, or switches on an accessibility service while your phone is in their hands, it shows up in the journal with a timestamp. Potentially risky events are highlighted so they are easy to spot at a glance.
DESIGN • Minimal, dark, terminal-inspired interface • Events grouped by day (Today / Yesterday / date) • Tap any entry for full technical details • One tap to filter and show only alerts • Clear the log at any time (PIN required)
PRIVACY FIRST • 100% local storage • Your data is never uploaded anywhere • No sign-in, no tracking, no ads • PIN lock on the journal
HONEST ABOUT LIMITS Droid Sentinel uses only public Android APIs and does not require root. Because of Android's background restrictions, some signals (USB connection state, developer and accessibility settings) are checked periodically rather than in real time — so a change that happens and reverts within a few minutes while the app is closed can be missed. The app can only record what happens after it is installed. These limits are stated openly rather than hidden.
Droid Sentinel is a personal tool for monitoring YOUR OWN device. It is not intended for secretly monitoring other people.
Local, PIN-protected journal of app installs, USB and device security events.
