The ROVE APP for the ROVE R2-4K, R2-4K PRO, and ROVE R3 models.

The ROVE Dash Cam app connects your ROVE dash cameras to your smartphone wirelessly using the WiFi Feature. This allows you to access the live videos within the 10m WiFi range from the dash cam, configure your dashcam settings, update firmware remotely, and so much more. It also lets you download the recorded videos and share them with your friends and family via all common sharing platforms.

Features of The ROVE APP.

(The app features four main sections).

LIVE VIDEO - This allows you to view, start or stop a live video recording of the ROVE dashcam directly from your smartphone.

DASHCAM VIDEO - You can view recorded videos and photos on your smartphone.

LOCAL VIDEO lets you access your downloaded footage and images on your smartphone and share them with anyone via all common sharing platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and many more. You can view the live location and speed in Google Maps (using the built-in GPS feature).

DASH CAM SETTING - enables you to access and modify the dash cam video settings and system settings on your smartphone under your fingertips so you can easily set up your dash cam using a larger screen.


Connecting the ROVE app is super easy.

STEP 1 - Turn On the WiFi feature on the compatible ROVE dashcam from the system setting.

STEP 2 - Open the smartphone’s WiFi setting and join the ROVE WiFi network using the default password “12345678”.

STEP 3 - Once the connection is successful, open the app, and it will automatically sync to the dash cam that you have connected with WiFi.

First impressions mean a lot to me. With so many options out there, I had settled on this and one other brand. What tipped the scales was a YT review including app function. Installation was a breeze but the app has been fantastic. Download over 5GHz is decently fast for high res from the front camera and only a few seconds for the rear of the R3. Setup was quick and WiFi setup pretty painless. I've been very happy with my purchase so far and the app integration is great.

I've had the camera for a couple months now and it's been nothing but problems. Recently they said they've overhauled the app but simply ineffective. Constant crashes, won't delete videos, can only record 1 or 3 minute videos. 5 min. Videos take a real 10 minutes to load and review. They never should have put this dashcam on the market. It's a mess

App connects to camera just fine. Downloading video over built-in wifi is incredibly slow, and the video doesn't show in the local album after downloading. Tried to leave feedback regarding this after disconnecting from the camera, and the app claimed I was still connected to the camera's wifi. My wifi was turned completely off and I was only using my cellular connection. If you're set on using a camera from this company, don't bother with the app. Better yet, don't use a camera from Rove.
