I installed the free version and enjoyed that enough that I purchased the paid version. Little did I know that the free version was roughly half the entire game. Just as I was getting an interesting deck to work with the game ended. On top of that, the paid version has many spelling errors and is buggy. For example I could not go back to a tower after I was given a password. I only got the password upon returning from the quest where I needed the password. Overall, I'd advise someone to avoid.
A classic for RPG lovers. Great story and classic gamebook gameplay. The mixture of card based fighting makes the game that much morr interesting and fun to play. My only problem is I have a hard time putting it down. Prequel/sequel in the works?
Just replayed the game through again and really enjoyed it! The game mechanics are great, and aside from other criticisms, the challenge is appreciated. Seriously; some sequels and/or other works in this style would be well-received! :)
Be prepared for endless restarts The way to get through this game is to bookmark every single room and restart if you miss a single roll... time waster
Amazing! More card game than text adventure, but very strategic and fun. Not sure why this doesn't have far more downloads. Got at least 7 hours of fun from it. Give it a shot
Instabuy after trying the demo Disappointed that I could not migrate savegame from Lite version to paid version :( ---- Please read my lengthier review for the Lite version.
More eye candy and visual feedback during combat.
World is much more open ended and has more opponents!
Better combat balance and now only 24 card decks allowed - there is more strategy involved and bit less reliance on luck.
