I used bacon reader for Reddit for the longest time until I finally got sick of how long it took for gfycat and imgur to load. I found this app at the suggestion of another redditor who had abandoned bacon reader, so I gave it a try. I love this app! It is far, far better than bacon reader. Definitely more customizable and always works smoothly. I convinced all my friends to get boost and they all love it too. Best reddit app in existence.
Pretty good. A couple of of GUI choices made navigating the app a little confusing at first. After that, I really enjoyed the app for its many features and clean overall GUI. I paid for the ad-free version since I was using it quite a bit. I haven't tried all of the other Reddit apps, just Reddit for Now, but I think this has to be one of the best Reddit apps on the Play Store.
Feature requests: hi guys, can we change the swipe right, left to moving to other sub reddit? Currently it is set for opening a thread, but that duplicates the click, which most people intuitively use. Also, once you are in a thread, you have to click on the picture to get to the article or linked content. Can you tweak so clicking on the entire text or image would take you to the link? Thanks! Great work
I typically scroll through posts using my thumb and scroll at a bit of an angle (My thumb starts at the bottom left corner of my screen and goes towards the top right). Doing this will cause me to swipe out of the post. Please change it so to swipe out of a post it has to be a straight swipe from left to right. Relay is a good example of how the swiping should work. Other than that the app is awesome and by far my favourite reddit app.
Switched to this app from the official Reddit app because their new update created a bunch of performances issues/crashes, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised! Format and design is easy to follow, all with just browsing within the first few minutes. Everything felt familiar and where it needed to be, along with features that help user experience. Images, videos, gifs, links, etc. loaded smoothly and effortlessly, even on my somewhat older gen phone. All in all, a great app!
By far the best unofficial app for reddit. Had to uninstall the official one when it kept crashing on me, but didn't find that baconreader nor redditisfun had as many features or customizations as this one does. It is by far the most easy to use version of reddit, and I like the automatic night mode too.
