Not responding Hah! First time I used it I got repeated messages - "The Scotsman is not responding". Uninstalled. Can't be bothered with that kind of nonsense. EDIT: 08/11/16 Tried again. After eight months nothing has changed. Appalling app. Don't you get just a little embarrassed by all the negative reviews?

Slow and buggy The app is very slow and still has a lot of bugs (not all articles open when you select them), plus I don't understand why there is so much sports content - is there nothing else to report on in Scotland???

Slow, buggy app A very slow app - often completely unresponsive and sometimes crashes. Also, why does football have to dominate the home/default page? I can't see any way to customise it.

Old News This app is full of old news. 3 or 4 days old. Don't bother.

It rarely loads for me I initially liked this app and would have given it a 4, but more or less since I installed it, it almost always fails to load. I have tried reinstalling, but the same thing happens on both Android devices I use. This makes me think it's not just me. If they fix this I'll up my rating, but an app that works so rarely doesn't deserve more than 2 stars. Looks pretty good and more than happy when it does work.

Missing catagory Just went and got my first android phone and was excited to download this app after having an enjoyable experience on my iphone. I am highly disappointed to not see the Scottish Independence category like iphone version has. This was one of my biggest reasons for reading the Scotsman.

Decent albeit basic - and very buggy! In principle this is a decent, albeit basic, app; in practice however it is immensely frustrating to use: it's often very slow to respond and is extremely prone to crashing. It's probably still the best source of serious Scottish news coverage available but that's not saying much to be frank. It would be nice to have some extra features added to make this app more interactive (e.g. customisable homepage, access to article comments etc.) but in the meantime I'd settle for them getting the basics in order.

Avoid this app! Beta vesion? Shame such good journalism is wasted by this clunky, still in development app that feels and looks ten years old. One to miss.
