About this app

Have you seen the International Space Station? It is visible with the naked eye!
This is the easiest way to spot the station.
ISS Detector will tell you when and where to look for the ISS. You get an alarm a few minutes before a pass. You will never miss it. ISS Detector will also check if the weather conditions are right. A clear sky is perfect for spotting.

Extensions will enhance the functionality of ISS Detector. With an in-app purchase you can add many famous satellites and amateur radio satellites. See the Starlink satellite trains, Hubble space telescope, rocket bodies, comets, planets and many bright satellites.

Available Extensions (in-app purchase):

Radio Amateur Satellites: Track dozens of ham and weather satellites. Transmitter information and real-time Doppler frequencies.

Starlink and Famous Objects: Track SpaceX Starlink satellite trains, Hubble Space Telescope, rocket bodies, bright satellites and more.

Comets and Planets: Track all planets. And track comets as they come closer to earth and become bright enough to see.

The BEST sightseeing app of the ISS, right down to the second. By alerting me with alarms 5 minutes from the ISS passing over is so awesome. Why would you go anywhere else? Also, you have a live feed from the cameras on board. and if you're good enough when the sighting is straight overhead you can try your luck and watch the live feed when it is exactly overhead of your city is a special treat. Try that challenge it's possible and awesome when you get it just right!!

I recently purchased the full add-on package (Combo Pack) to be able to track other objects (i.e. Starlink satellites). It worked for about a week and now only shows me the ISS. And yes, the Starlink service is enabled (switched ON). Update: I have both set location manually and restarted my phone without success. 2nd Update: I was able to get it running properly by clearing the app cache and restarting the app. I hope this is not something I will have to do often, but is good to know how.

Sometimes the Google location service can get locked up. It can help to restart the phone once. Or set your location in the settings.

I've had the full app installed for years as it's been very useful in tracking and viewing the ISS. Accuracy can be counted on. And the sextant is a uniquely cool tool. The disappointment I've been having of late is with the Starlink satellites. Late to list new deployments and arrival timing on some have been way off.
