Great App, easy compass direction Very useful and simple app. It let's you use your app to locate the satellites, planets, etc. My phone has a hardware problem with the compass and this app has a fix, a way to adjust the compass. Also, you can save the event to your calendar so you won't miss something in a few days. And it gives the cloud forecast right beside the object to view, so you can get ready or get disappointed that you'll see or miss that magnitude - 8.5 iridium flare. Well worth the small fee for the extensions.
I have been using this app for several years and never failed me and it has allowed me to show other people the wonders of space and what we can do in near Earth orbits.
Notifications don't always work on my old Kit Kat phone. Other than that works great, and had everything I could possibly want.
VERY nice app. Appears to have GREAT (i.e. MINIMAL) battery use! Enhancing the way "Silent Period" in conjunction with "Hide Passes within silent period" works to remove items from the list of "passed" events could be much improved. Option for "data update interval" could include a "Every nnn Hours" to boost ease of use. Result: The "select removal time after a pass" doesn't SEEM to work to remove items if phone's been "sleeping" during the wee hours of the morning. (Although the "Refresh" *does* work to make this info go away, it would be far less cumbersome with this small enhancement.) Would LOVE to have something like a "Bulls-eye" to help me locate object by "aiming" phone in it's direction (as if I were trying to take a picture of it). Aurora, CO user.
Compass is way wrong The compass display is very wrong in Pretoria, South Africa. Looks like magnetic declination has not been taken into account. Can this be fixed?
Once I learned how to point the cell phone with the guide on screen, it's been fun for the whole neighborhood!
