Saw this app on Dragon's Den and installed it. It is a fabulous app. Easy UI, nice settings, uncomplicated. The one issue I have is that the settings do not offer options about what is shared publicly within the app. So, for example, if you start from your home and walk to work, save and name the route "home to work" then EVERYONE using the app sees that. Safety issue, I say. I enjoy using apps like this, but am careful about what I post - on every social media outlet and anywhere online. So, in saying that, I can not use this great app unless there is a way to opt out posting everywhere I run.
I just downloaded this app an hour or two ago. Even though I was not running at the time, I downloaded one of the local routes in the app and pressed the "Run This" button to see what would happen. I heard voice instructions, but could not understand them since they were in a foreign language (not English). It almost sounded like Russian or an Eastern European language. Please advise how to set the language to English, or if I need to possibly change a setting in my Android OS. Thanks!!
This is a very useful app for runners who like to plan their run ahead of time however the developer seems to be using Google maps to provide turn by turn voice navigation and it violates Google map policies. They do not allow developers to provide turn by turn voice navigation using their APIs. The dev should look into it before he/she gets into trouble
EDIT - 2/14/2017 - DEV responded quickly and says he has a fix for syncing next week. Changing to 3 stars for now. Will test again. How frickin' hard is it to sync a map back to my phone after I update it on the web site? All I can say is it is a good thing I didn't have to rely on this stupid app on Sunday or I'd still be lost. I make a SIGNIFICANT change to a route and the stupid phone had no idea. It kept telling me I was off course. Time to find a new app. Is there anything else out there like rungo that actually works???
Decent app, could be a great one with a few tweaks. In particular the directions could do with some finessing - for example, if you reach a fork in the road it would be great if it said which fork to take, and it would be good to be told to continue across junctions rather than not having any feedback at all. Still, useful and good to help vary up running routes!
Samsung S7: after a few miles it Keeps saying off course , way points are there but cannot get back on route, even after a restart still no good. Had really high hopes for this.........:-(
