Good app with minor niggles A good app to track activities, few niggles. Data posted to Google fit does not always match what has been tracked. Creating routes you can not select walking as an activity type meaning you have to edit the workout afterwards. Current version does not support offline running with smart watches so you will still need your phone on you to track activities which let's it down. If you have wearables with inbuilt HRM check that these are supported. E.g Jabra pulse sport isn't.
Runtastic tries to do a hundred jobs, but fails to do the only one it is needed for . Just happened to me today: 1) Tap Start activity - "Activity will start in 15 seconds, tap to start immediately". 2) Put the phone in my pocket. 3) Ride for 8 km. 4) Take out the phone - "Activity will start in 1 second, tap to start immediately"..... I am NOT that fast.
I have the Pro version on my Lumia (Windows) phone, and the free version on my Xperia Z (Android). I can't fault the Windows version, but the free one on Android drives me to tears. It loses the GPS all the time, and the adverts and screen notifications/instructions are so intrusive, it's really frustrating to use. Given the competition out there, I can't justify paying $5 for the Pro version on my Android, and honestly if I'd not already used the Pro version on my other phone, I would have lasted maybe five minutes before uninstalling the freebie and never giving it another chance. If you can grab a Pro version, then do so - it's a good app. Install the free version on the phone of someone you really despise.
Too many features and functions Dont like all the prompts it takes to stop and start a run. About 6 or 7 prompts or screens pop up requiring your input. I dislike this app. I feel like it used to be better. More features do not make a better app
No way to export activity from app I use this when I forget my GPS watch, and it works great. Or it did. Unable to export from the app as before, making it useless for my purposes. Will now uninstall, use stopwatch and plot route retrospectively. Shame.
Lies While this is much more accurate at tracking how far I go this is health s app there is no way in hell I burn 400 calories walking at 3 miles an hour for 40 minutes I only went to I only went 2 miles also Facebook is freaking STUPID quit asking me to post !social media is lame! TOO MANY ADS
