This app does not successfully use the GPS on my Moto G3. Google maps works. Why not this app? GPS is the main feature, so it needs to be perfect. I live in flat Tampa FL, and there is yet to be a time when the app tracks my position for at least 10 seconds.
Only thing is it doesn't recognize Pandora as a music source to play through the app (it used to). But other than that, it tracks your progress well, GPS feature is great, the voice commands are helpful and easy to adjust to your liking, and the stories to run to are awesome. My favorite features are the goals and the live tracking. My goal is to run 450 miles this year and with each run it tells me how close I am to achieving it. And the live tracking through Facebook allows people to watch your progress. It may sound bad to some introverts, but when people "like" the post on facebook while you're running, it comes over your headphones in real time as a cheer. So people actively cheer you on while you're running! It helps to motivate me. If I'm slowing down and someone cheers me on, I get a burst of energy and speed up. It pushes me to go harder and I love it. All in all an incredible app!
After recent update, this app became terrible. I'm looking for substitute now. Nothing is more frustrated than this- you are standing behind the start line, finally get everything (including your breath) ready and click the start button... and find out there is ad popped up for you to dismiss . Yes. I may need to buy the pro version, but before doing that, I believe I can find a better one.
I'm soooo incredibly disappointed with this app. I had been using it for a few months until it slowly started freezing every 3rd run or so, then just got worse. It finally stopped working 90% of the time. Junk. I switched to Endomondo and am much happier!
This is not even close to Adidas Train&Run. Please import training plans from Adidas. These plans are poor. It's too much distance oriented. Nothing for fitness, getting lean, loosing weight... I tried all apps, Adidas was untouchable. Make that to Runtastic.
I've been using this app for several years now, and I love it. If data is your thing, you'll love it too. My favorite features are the shoe tracker (you'll never have to guess again about when to retire your shoes!), the yearly goals, and water loss after each activity (hydration is life!). Also, you can pair this app with MyFitnessPal, which is great for making sure your calorie intake is on point.
