I don't want to share my heart rate on facebook As already suggested by other users: It should be made possible to disable the "share" option which follows every measurement. This could be easily implemented but is not because commercial considerations outweigh attention to user preferences in this case.
Adverts kill my measures I hate the advertising when you just started measuring. I have used it for years and paid for the other apps but this one I use seldom and as a loyal customer I expected more. Fine after measure but while measuring is mean to need to restart because I am tired and click wrong. Enough with wrong measures due to the publishers greed.
Heart rate measurement will never be of the precise moment you want because there will always be a pop up ad before it will measure it. Then, If your heart rate is too high (above 180, it seems), it won't read it until it comes down. If you ever enter any wrong info, it won't let you edit it, you must delete ALL of it (INCLUDING heart rate measurement, which you can't enter manually). Also, after you enter your measurement, you're ALWAYS taken to a screen that asks you to share your measurements in social media. Mediocre.
So several apps offer the same thing. Is this one better? Actually, for the free version, this is quite disappointing: only 3 measurements per day, and too many ads. It is true that the app has a few unique details, but other apps offer more and, according to my tests, all provide the same accuracy.
Pros: - Measurements seem to be pretty accurate or at least on par with other apps. Cons: - It doesn't work with Google Fit. - In the free version the ads are obnoxious with full screen auto play video and loud sound. - After every measurement it wants me to share with other people and you can't turn off this behaviour.
But they have no clue how to design a useful app. And awfully limited free version says a lot about the focus on payout rather than function. I also have their pro version of running app. Same sentiments apply there. Lazy greedy developers. My expectation was to see heart rate data easily integrated into other apps from Runtastic. It's not that big of a stretch.
