The app communicates with the device via Bluetooth, displays the grill temperature in real time, and allows you to set temperature alarms, statistical temperature change curves, etc.

No temp readings in notications or lock screen. App makes a notification sound each time it goes into the background. You can make it silent without interfering with temp alerts but kind of annoying it does it by default. You have to click record to get any kind of temp history. I feel this should be enabled by default. My Goovee one always tracks the history. I think it could be a much better app but it does function for basic needs.

Unfortunately, the probe continues to disconnect from my device despite being only a few months old. The initial synchronization occurs, but there are no readings as if my device is not connected. Subsequently, I receive an alert indicating that the probe has disconnected. I checked my settings to confirm, and the probe is not visible in the list of connected devices.
