About this app

Pay easily, securely and conveniently with your digital wallet.
With the "Mobile Payment" app and your digital cards, you can do this conveniently in shops and also quickly and flexibly online - via giropay* and the digital Sparkassen-Card/BW-BankCard plus (girocard)** in the app. You control the possible uses of your cards yourself – with Card Control*. And with the express loan*, you can also fulfill spontaneous wishes with short-term liquidity.
To pay in shops, store the debit cards from your Sparkasse or BW-Bank and/or your Sparkasse credit card in the “Mobile Payment” app. At the checkout, simply unlock the smartphone using the stored, secure method, hold it close to the card reader and wait for the visual and acoustic confirmation - done. This works wherever contactless payment and your card are supported.
You can also pay online at participating institutes with giropay and the digital Sparkassen-Card or BW-BankCard plus (girocard). When paying in the online shop, select giropay and then the digital girocard in the next step. Then authorize the payment with your digital Sparkassen-Card or BW-BankCard plus stored in the "Mobile Payment" app (e.g. by fingerprint).
For additional security and control, you can use Card Control to independently activate or deactivate the possible uses of your haptic and digital cards at participating institutes. Take control of paying in stores, online and abroad, and withdrawing cash from ATMs yourself.
In addition to paying with a digital card, you can take out a free express loan of 500 to 3,000 euros directly in the "Mobile Payment" app - and fulfill your wish directly on site in retail. You will receive the amount in your account within a few minutes and pay it back in full within 30 days or replace it with an installment loan. You will only see the express loan in the app if your institute participates.

DIGITAL MAPS REQUIREMENTS
• You are at least 13 years old
• You have a private current account with a participating German Sparkasse or BW-Bank that has been activated for online banking
• You use one of the supported TAN methods: chipTAN (incl. chip-TAN-QR), pushTAN (incl. pushTAN 2.0)
• You have a valid debit card with a girocard from your Sparkasse or BW-Bank and/or a Sparkasse credit card
• Android operating system from version 6.0, NFC interface

HINTS
a) The app only supports bank details from German savings banks and BW-Bank
b) Time delays when depositing cards are possible, depending on the quality of the internet connection
c) To call up the cards, use the PIN that you use for online banking

e) Please note that the card issuer of your digital card is your Sparkasse or BW-Bank
f) For security reasons, the app is not offered for rooted devices

The app used to work just fine, yet after the last update I ended up trying to use it in-store and it just didn't work. Luckily, I had a physical card on hand. On investigation, it turns out that you need to set up every card again. Bummer. At least a warning would have been nice. The new "improvements" in many ways feel either unnecessary or just poorly designed (No, Fingerprints don't register correctly every time!!!) and the setup process is a mess as well.

Hallo Jan, dass die Zahlung bei dir nicht funktioniert hat tut uns leid. Du musst die App nach dem Update einmalig einrichten, um wieder bezahlen zu können. Zudem muss die App als Standard-Zahlungsdienst in den Android-Einstellungen festgelegt sein. Viele Grüße Pepe vom S-Payment Team

Unreliable months after rushed release. When it works then it is a great experience to use. However, it is not acceptable that one time the money transfer could not be initialized after three repetitions. Another time it was initialized after second try (Hit market). In conclusion i have always to have cash as backup or the normal card from Sparkasse. Furthermore, i don't think that it is a good idea to enble the payment method active by default when the phone is locked.

Does not work on Android 14. Support don't give a duck. Blaming android instead of launching update of their ducking outdated as hell unconviniate application. Don't say me anything about it's a beta version. All other apps. Literally ALL works fine with it. Including Google wallet via paypal. And you want us just to wait until the end of summer for you to launch an update. Wow that is really fast support. Outstanding, Super, bravo 👏👏👏👏👏!
