After ever screen it kicked me back to the login screen, and popped up a error message about connecting to the server. And to try later. Useless piece of trash. Will be moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Safeway, you have gone downhill. I'd rather use amazon, uber, & hello fresh.
Better! So glad this version actually works! It's reasonably user friendly, but there's still a lot that could be improved and fixed... Batch refills would be welcome, rather than having to renew each med individually. Perhaps the devs should look at some library programs... I can renew more than one library item at a time! Secondly, I really don't need the program asking me if I'm sure for each individual refill! I'd like to be able to turn that off! Also, a fix is needed for status of refills: It's showing refills in process for meds not requested and others currently refilling for dates that are months ago! Obviously the program is just reporting everything as refilling. Finally, it would be nice to be able to leave a brief note for the pharmacist when necessary. It kind of defeats the purpose if I have to call.
So, I have to say that this program sucks and has been problematic from the start. Even though there have been supposed updates that were supposed to fix the app, it still doesn't work right. Is it the developer or just Safeways Archaic computers and tech. After all, it's 90' technology at work for you today.
glitchy, with an illogical interface. Depending on which version of the home page you are on (there are two that look almost identical) the "refill" option will be under two different icons, neither of which are available in the "My Prescriptions" folder where you actually find the prescription information. Wouldn't you expect to be able to go to "My prescriptions", find the medication, click on it, and select "refill now"? Nope, doesn't work that way.
The only reason for four stars is the length of time it takes to log in and use the app…very slow. Other than that, the app works perfectly! Everyone should sign up for texts. You receive a text when it's time to refill, then a text that your refill request has been received. When it's ready, you are notified, as well. The texts make it so easy to keep track of your meds. If there are no more refills available, the system will not notify you. So, with each refill, ckeck the refills, and if zero, just call it in or use the app. I've done it both ways. Hope this helps... Safeway Rx texting is fantastic!
Very helpful & better than Safeway's text program.
- Implemented performance fixes to minimize app freezing up while in use
- Fixed server response issues to cut down on app crashes and timeouts, especially when requesting refills
