I've gone between several weather apps over the years but I'm happiest with Weather Timeline. Great widgets too, which is where a lot of competitors fail. That said, where's my favourite Easter egg gone when searching for a date in the future (via a calendar)?? I'm sad if it's been removed.

Works pretty good but widget no longer will update on my home screen, even when tapping on the refresh button. I have to open the app and only THEN will the widget update. This is on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 running stock Android 7.1.1. Still works fine on my Note 4 running Android 6.0.1. Contacted developer weeks ago about the issue and problem hasn't been fixed. Uninstalling and going to paid version of Weather UG. WOW, I posted the above review 11.28.17 and ZERO response from the developer and no update to fix the issue.

Developer removed much-loved features (time machine, umbrella alerts) from paid app with no mention or explanation of removal or reasons as to why in change logs; infrequent updates; zero response from dev. Used to be favorite weather app, now easily surpassed by Weather Underground, The Weather Channel, AccuWeather, etc. in usefulness.

This app used to work great and was one of my favorite weather apps ever. Since today, it crashes immediately after opening on my OnePlus 5 (Android O). Please fix it and I'll give back 5 stars

First of all, developer ignore his clients, doesn't respond EVER, even if we paid for the app. Widgets could be prettier, with clock and all info. You need to add more weather providers. Advance UI, it looks outdated. And we paid for time machine and now it's gone, really?

Edit: switched the weather source from dark sky to weather underground. Much more dependable. Love the layout. Radar maps are pretty useful. The problem is that the forecast is almost always wrong. Temps vary by several degrees from other apps, and those other apps are always more accurate.

Great design with terific options and possibilities! However I'm not able to turn off weather alerts for "Extreme cold" when it's not that cold at all - at just around 0 degrees Celsius. It's getting quite annoying and I don't want to turn off all alarms!
In general, I like this application very much; solid design and functionality. As of late, though, there seems to be a bug by which the location addition mechanism (the circular green plus button in the bottom right-hand corner) has disappeared. As a result, it's not full functional, 🏧.
Amazing app, perfect in terms of the material guidelines. However one of the features (that is more a gimmick than anything else) got killed off, this was time machine. I would love to see this coming back
Doesn't show the real High/Low for some reason. If you click the hourly forecast, you will see different highs/lows throughout the day. Waste of money.
UPDATE! The developer added the degrees symbol back which fixed my one-and-only gripe. Amazing app with great aesthetic. BACK TO 5 STARS! (original) The only frustrating thing is you can't change the font of the temperature numbers in the notification/status bar. That ability would make the app a 10/10. Also for some reason the latest update took away the little degrees symbol and made the font in the notification/status bar even larger? Font customization would be a dream come true.
Perfect weather app!!! Nothing more to say about it. Buy it now. EDIT* Time machine function was taken away. Should not be allowed to remove features once paid for. That was my main use of this app.... Now it's no different than any other app.
Old version was much better. The umbrella alert actually gave me a picture of an umbrella, making sure to notice me that it was going to rain. This version got rid of the umbrella and just has a regular weather notification. Also. It's been basically a year and they still have issues with adding locations.
Looks great, and was very accurate, at first. But it couldn't tell it was snowing, just said "light rain" so now I kind of struggle to believe anything it tells me.
Good app, but it lacks a precipitation radar map that differenciates between rain and snow. It only shows the intensity rang of the precipitation, not the type. For this reason I have to go back my WeatherBug app.
I bought this app for the "Time Machine" feature just to realize shortly after that it was removed. This is a big disappointment given the fact it was the main motive for me to purchase it!
I spent years looking for the perfect weather app, and had given up until I stumbled across Timeline. A gorgeous app with an exemplary implementation of Material Design from one of the friendliest and most approachable devs on the scene today. I can't endorse this app enough. Absolutely perfect.
Great app and I especially love the persistent notification. Only 3 stars for now because the ability to hide the persistent notification in the status bar is broken. It keeps popping up after a few minutes and it never used to.
Pretty nice, except for the fact that sometimes certain days on my weekly widget disappear so I'll have for example: Today, Saturday and Monday showing. Why is my Sunday missing? Hope it can be fixed. Otherwise easily the nicest looking app/widget out there.
Great app. I like the widgets, especially the "Stack" so I can flip through cities right on the homepage. Be sure to add cities to the app before using the stack widget, though, or else the widget will be invisible -- I got confused by that and left a negative review earlier today, but I figured it out and it's a 5-star app in my opinion!
In the hourly timeline contradicting information appears. Under the Time header "Light Rain" may appear, but right next to it "No Rain" under Temp header. Got no response from developer.
So I just moved to a big city and I need to know the weather on specific places of it, this does the trick and it looks awesome without giving too much on design and compromising functionality. Certainly worth the money and for this much everyone should buy it
It's pretty but it loses connecting and failed tip refresh very easily and frankly way too often. Every time I open the app it couldn't load the weather data until I have refresh it multiple times. Same issue on WiFi and data.
The widget stopped showing local weather on the home sceen of my tablet. When configuring, it shows the data, but after clicking Add to Home Screen, the widget shows on default template data, such as "city" instead of a city.
The best weather app hands down! I have been looking for an app that would provide me a quick glimpse of the weather for the next few hours, and this app did it, in the notifications panel. Genius! I'm using this app as my Android Wear watch face too. The Android Wear app could improve, especially if we could have more control over the background and text colours. (I need light grey text).
Paid for the app when it had more features. Now features like weather time machine have vanished with no explanation or warning. That's not right when you paid for those features.
I believe that this weather app is increidble, by far the best in the store, and it's the Nova Launcher of weather apps (unimaginably customizable and beautiful UI at the same time). With this amazingly developed app, I only have have two minor comments: 1) it'd be nice to have a refresh button and/or last updated time on the ongoing notification so that I'm reassured I'm not looking at an outdated temperature (compare to WUnderground app) 2) The "show temperature as line graph" option should show the temperature progression through each day, not in steps to the high and low temps only (compare to Wunderground app). However this app is absolutely stellar and I greatly enjoy using it as my daily driver. Keep up the great work!
Great app that utilizes material design perfectly. Only gripe is as of late the notification icon shows in status bar even when the hide notification option is selected.
Good app and would be great if it could show the wind direction with little arrows like Pocket Weather. Bicycle riders like to know about head winds and tail winds.
Took away time machine feature without notice. Annoying, since it is a paid app and that was a main reason for purchasing.
By far the best weather app on Android. Always among the first apps I install, and has the best widget, period. Nothing short of perfect.
Best and loveliest weather app. No nonsense UI and full of features. UPDATE On 8.1 app ignores the "don not show in status bar" option toggle and persistently shows an icon in the status bar.
UPDATE: 12/28/17 I compare the temperature reading of this app with two other apps for the same location, and the readings were way off. This app was showing 3°, and the other two 12°. Which one is it? I mean that is 9° jump. For some people something like that matters greatly.
Weather Timeline is an excellent and beautiful weather app with a minimalist aesthetic! Even better, it is highly customizable. While I like that I can create location nicknames, what I really like is that I can change how the widget looks so much! There is a lot of depth both in customizing app appearance and what information it can display. Customization aside, the most important part of a weather app is its accuracy: for current and near-future weather, I find it very reliable. Thanks for making such a great app!
I love it! Widgets on my home screen on my Pixel and probably the best, smoothest, and most focused weather app around. Very clean, beautiful. An example of where all Android apps are hopefully headed.
Beautiful and well-thought-out weather app, also with a great widget! DashClock integration could be better though since I'm using Chronus as my main widget.
This is hands down the best weather app I've ever seen! Its got a great design and many helpful features. The only features that aren't quite what I was hoping them to be is the limit that's put on the number of locations you can add and the weather radar trying to load as you use it. Other than that it's exactly the weather app I've been looking for!
All around great app but what happened to the travel in time function? You lost a star for that function being missing.
Great app, using it on all my devices. Unfortunately cannot add more places, even after removing the existing one from the list.
One of the best weather apps out there, very beautiful and great at conveying information. However, does not support the Australian Bureau of Meteorology as a data source, so loses points for that.
