When your character is near of dying, there's a "blinking red screen" effect. One player reported that this was very painful for his eyes as a visually impaired person. I didn't realize people can experience such on my game, sorry about the problem.
I'm working to fix that problem and getting new version in the google.

I had the older version of this game and liked it and i like the update even more. Crafting a raft would be an awesome addition to the game. Also i think it would be cool to have like a long term survival part where you have to build a permanent structure and survive different seasons and conditions. Does have some ads but don't all free games. One problem for me your supposed to be able to skip the ads after 5 seconds like you can on YouTube but I've had to watch the whole 30 second ad every time. Still worth it as it is the most realistic survival game I've found.

When this game first came out, I loved it. When it got the update, I was like eh... but I stuck with it, now with this latest update I'm hot. The previous update brought ads with it and I could deal with that. Now in order to get it ad free and extra stuff that was in the previous version you have to pay for the full version. I'm cool with that, I have no problems with it, but at the same time don't screw me over bcause you want to make a couple of bucks. Take into consideration the people that have been playing it for a long time. When it started out as free and with no ads. And don't get me started on losing out on my achievements that I already got and basically have to get over again for the new update.
Fun game and a great way to kill time. Tinder and water are key. Very challenging. Noticed that the finding bear tracks challenge is not registering. Also I have not yet had a successful range attack with either the primitive bow or atlatl. Would be cool if a ranged attack was successful once in a while, which I assume it is because why else have the option of crafting those items? Despite those two issues I have experienced a great deal of enjoyment, even got an alligator once with the hunting spear!

THE WAIT IS OVER!!! Finally! Heavy breathing and almost crapped my pants yesterday when i saw that it already has an update. Its looks even more awesome now. With tons of options! I love this game but the new update is not helpful. I dislike the new condition table area. I like the provious update it was much easier to navigate, and in all much more enjoyable to play too. Unlock the swap area it is much more challenging but you can still do a full game mode unlock. Just don't takeaway the options. Playing for over 8 months please make it great again.

Mostly good. I like the 'old skool idea' - let everyone 'experience' their own image. It would be better if i can have the top menus arranged at the bottom part of screen, for easier tapping. And what else.. Ah, why not make better graphics, no not animation, that would spoil the old skool thing - create better appearance of the game, like real pics of the survivor, the landscape, lake, swamp etc. Ok, just an idea.

Hi Vanessa. Thanks for the feedback. Free version is still very close the same as paid version. New update took 10 months to develop part time. That was too slow. Money helps develop game. Achievements loss: sorry. Had to be eedone so that I can port the game for IOS and make them work offline. there is 20+ new. I try develop game fairly and openly Fun game and a great way to kill time. Tinder and water are key. Very challenging. Noticed that the finding bear tracks challenge is not registering. Hahhah. Going well. It is technically a big update (game engine upgrade and refactoring) byt gameplaywise not sure if its a major ;) EDIT: holy smokes that took million years but the UPDATE 319 IS OUT NOW. I really hope you like it. EDIT2: great to hear that. Please report all the bugs, give honest feedback and ideas for improving. I love this game but the new update is not helpful. Review Update: I am very impressed with the way this game has evolved. There are many elements of the game that make it a pure joy to play. The only thing that would put it over the top would be some sort of multi player interface. As in maybe you can go hiking or camping with some friends and not only have individual decisions that can be made but group decisions too. Just a thought. But either way this is still a great game. Well done. Very basic and easy text based game. Fun to play but needs to be more on the player side. Should gove us a choice of items to take with us at the beginning as well as more trap options. And better location information as in local plants that can be eaten or other small game. Also if you are in the deep woods there is a good chance you will not get high winds but in this game it seems like it is everywhere. But like i said still fun to play keep it up.

Agree pretty much with all the points. Will improve. Thanks for the feedback EDIT: unfortunately multiplayer cannot be added to this game. The "timing system" would be really difficult to do. Choice of items: I planned to have special mode or scenario for that, more traps yes, location info: noted, winds: will fix/update. Thanks for updated review. I've been playing this game for months and even paid for the full version, lots of fun to play. however, the hunting simply doesn't work, even on easy difficulty. In fact the game even tells me after, that I can't hunt (insert animal here) with a bow. Other than that, I love the new update :)

Should work. Very fun and addictive until you've played your 5th scenario or so and it becomes quite repetitive and kinda boring. The upgrade doesn't seem to add enough to make it much better. Need more scenarios and variables... seems like this game had had several updates since the original version was released, so I assume this is still a work in progress. So far, so good! But I want to see more detail is the full version before I pay for it.
I really like it, I don't always understand how I die when all of my things are at 100 and my calories are high but it's still fun and challenging. I rarely write reviews but this one deserves a good one. I had the previous version which I believe had no ads but this is still not an ad heavy game. I believe it's only one before each time you go to load the game.

Sorry Jessie there is a nasty bug that kills player if you go without calories (during nighttime) for 20 or so days. This was supposed to work differently and is fixed in the next update. I'm stoked someone's finally developing a game like this one. great game so far and can only get better. a lot of great suggestions by people as well. I might suggest you add a weather indicator to see if it's cloudy or clear and more adverse effects from weather, heat stroke, wet clothing and gear must be dried, things along those lines. still an awesome game and I'll definitely stick around to see where it goes!

It would have been too complex :) Weather indicators are on my list ;) For some reason you took the easy to use version and exchanged it with whatever the hell this is, why are there so many menus? why is it so confusing now? this used to be a good game. Mountain scenario starts with one and i dont know how to fix...pls help! When I first started playing this game I absolutely fell in love with it. With new update I can't stop playing it. This game has the perfect blend of challenge and fun. I absolutely love it and can't wait to see what the developer comes up with in the next update. Recently got a new phone and my first download was this game as was my first purchase glad I could help out with the future of this game.

New update 319 out now. Hey love the game. Been playing sense almost the start. I just bought the 6 dollar version and the bow does not seem to kill deer. It say I can not kill baby,adult, or old deer with bow. Don't know if this is a glitch or I just need to keep trying.

It's here now. :) Try ver 319. EDIT: Yep. Crafting needs faster way to select what yo do. I fix that. Overall the game is really fun and really makes you think on what to do and use your items wisely. However there are a few things that I would like to see in the next update. Maybe you could increase the chance of a wild animal getting in a trap and going hunting by just a tad bit? I hardly get anything while hunting but rotton meat from a dead animal. And as for exploring, you could find more insects such as worms which you could eat and use as bait, beetles and larvae, special edible plants, or a fallen bird nest to use as great tinder, etc. And I think having bugs make noises in the night would be cool to. Other than that I love playing it so much. Thank you for a fun and challenging game. Can't wait for the future updates! Keep it up 👍👍
Great progress since first version, amazing. I really like where this is going! The only thing where I see problems is the overall balance. Probably the hardest goal to accomplish when programming the game. Sometimes you just can't win. Period. It's somewhat realistic, but frustrating. Luck is a too heavy factor, esp. in harder modes. Your strategic choice are limited. Example: getting water, with just two bottles. Rain? Nope. Creek? No, just forests and plains. Water puddle? Nope, just dry grass and bones. Well, game over. I'd rather like to have a bit more control over it. Like, actively search for water, maybe.

Very good point. Thanks for feedback. I think how to remedy the water situation. I've played the original plus a few of the smaller updates and they are great! This newest update gives the player a little more involvement, which I like, but is also a bit more confusing. The backpack screen is a little disorienting but I do like how you can organize items by use. The crafting screen is very artistic and I like how the sketches of the different crafting items are much larger than in previous versions. However, the trap/hunt screen is frustrating because it has a choice of dismantling the traps or tracking animals with no option to set up a trap (that I can find, yet). All in all, this is still one of my favorite games.

Inventory/backpack: noted. Tracking: yea, "dismantling should only appear when location has trapping options" is on my todo list. Different locations will provide trapping options. Thanks for taking time to review. Was a great game until the recent updates. Limiting to 1 set of tool selection makes it too hard without paying and I really don't think a second set justifies paying for the game. Also the rain cycle has been scaled down and so have to trap triggers meaning you'll die of thirst more often than not. Shame was great before but we'll see if anything comes out of a future update.

Update~ Game updated recently and now I can't get past the disclaimer screen. It says "tap here to begin" but tapping does nothing.

You do not need to pay for the game. You get 99% of the things still. You can continue playing for free. Thanks for the review. I played this game so much for such a long time and loved it and it's simplicity. I fully understand that the time and effort that's gone into the recent updates is necessary to compete in the market, but as such a fan of the older versions, game play is not as fun for me now. I don't mind the odd advert to pay the bills, but the interface has changed to the point where my speed of playing is much slower and less enjoyable. Yesterday, i built a shelter to full protection and had a fire raging, but still died of hypothermia. For my personal experience, the game didn't require any updates as it was already great, but then I'm not a game developer. I get it, but my enjoyment has been lessened.

interface changes: can you pinpoint the things that slow down playing most for you? WAS one of the best games ever in the play store... Now it has been changed almost entirely and to the point that you can forget about killing any animals for food, there are never any around... Luke, hunting is very much doable. There are various new species too in ver 319. I will balance hunting/fishing/traps but it is definitely possible to find animals. Certain animals wont be that easy to get. Thanks for the input. I like the game, but I fail way too much. Hunting, fishing and traps just don't pay off enough. I don't get enough bait, finally catch a fish, make more bait, fish for many hours and just lose bait. Areas quickly become completely exhaust with no way of gaining anything.
I want to like it but it's boring and not too realistic. In real life you're better off staying in one place, and when you "search and area completely" you don't run out of things to find - like bugs for bait - and you also don't run out of fish to fish.
Paid for the full game to get other scenarios, but even on prepared they make the game impossible and cheat so you can't survive. For example I had 10% body heat so I built a fire and still died from hypothermia. And no matter what weapons i have I still can't successfully hunt anything. Sorry I wasted my money..should have stuck with the free version😣
I've played through multiple versions and this is the best one yet! I have a few questions... What conditions need to be met for alternate win, and is it possible to kill every animal you kill no matter how slim the odds?

I cannot answer to those questions ^_^. Hunting kills are somewhat realistic: think you can hunt a bear with a sling? I do not think so. Deer with a spear? Maybe if you get close... Fun and frustrating... I want to smash the phone as well as keep playing it for hours. Pike scenario was ok. It was fun and after a couple of deaths I got safe. Swamp scenario.. I want to kill somebody. I like it in general, but I hate not knowing if I will be rescued, kill by mosquitoes or close to anything that can save me. I mean, the game dont tell you how close you are to being safe. Hopefully someone can finish it soon enough so I dont destroy my pone!
I love this game! The only real negative to it is it affects my work productivity, because I can't seem to put the game down until I die. There are a few bugs, but the developer is very responsive. I don't understand those complaining about ads in a *free*, well developed and complex game. Since when did we expect game developers to work for free for our entertainment. I paid to get rid of the ads because I'd like to support further editions of this game.
Addictively realistic without relying on flashy/distracting graphics, refreshingly original, and no nosey 'Permissions': Great stuff! The recent changes are good for the most part, too, but I'd like to suggest a couple of changes: The repeated scrolling now required to navigate the 'Crafting' section is rather awkward, but it seems that at least one more row (maybe even two) could be added, if the item pictures and text were somewhat reduced. Also, the chances of a successful tracking kill are dishearteningly low, so crafting and carrying the sling or new atlatl seems of little use... It would be great if this setting could be bumped up, at least for the 'Prepared' setting and easier scenarios. The game is still a favorite of mine, though, and I'm happy to see it being so actively worked on. Cheers and all the best! :D

Please check it out. EDIT2: Crafting: yes. I think I make list of small icons or such for quicker use. Tracking will be more useful. Thx. If this game were easy, it would be boring. I loooooooove 😍 your game! More features please! I love how simple everything is, and I also love the fact that it's almost text-based. A lot of kids nowadays don't like reading, and I want to promote it. I will buy the full game when I have money (soon, hopefully).

Thanks Rita. Survival the game is a story you write yourself. Stranded and lost, you search for civilization while avoiding the dangers of the unknown and the wilderness. The game itself is compromised of scenerio cards. Each card is a setting and time progresses from night to day. You can choose to move on to the next card at any time which is a choice of two settings each with it's pros or cons. You must take care to keep up your stats because of any reaches zero... Game over. Lost of things happen by chance, much like a real survival scenerio would be like. There are no animation graphics other than the scenerio cards. Players must use their imagination at times as you would in a DnD game. I recommend it, it's fun, challenging, and like a book it is easy to get lost in the narrative you create for yourself.

Thanks for the review. Really appreciated. Love the new update. Swamp on extreme difficulty...day 47 and 65 miles traveled and still surviving. I remember update 139 I beat the extreme difficulty 112 days and 695 miles traveled. This new update more options and a lot more challenging. Keeps me busy.

Nice. There are couple of things that swamp scenario will get and it becomes slightly more difficult. Couple of features I did not have time to finish. And... you seem to be doing nicely. :) The UI is hard to navigate, we're supposed to be fast but sliding through every craftable item is annoying and wasting time. Maybe a customizable shortcut on the main HUD will be great...
Juuso plz let me know how many miles to safety for each scenario... Bdw otherwise the gameplay is now more on the practical side a bit... Like hunting, traps, fishing... Couple of more things... For the graphics part... U can make a darker background for night or gloomy/rainy and brighter for day time also, the rope net bag should be atleast two to craft what i think. Rest i will let u know as i feel... Plz work on the above mentioned

Thanks. Miles to safery is tricky issue! 3 out of 4 want to know it. One out of 4 does not. I will need to figure out how I solve this. :) it is on my todo list though. Gfx good ideas. Possibly. Rope net bag possibly gets upgrade possibility but not sure when. The game is really great and fun to play and was just what I was looking for. No less important, I really love the attitude of the developer. An honest person with real respect for his users, which is a rare sight nowadays. Bought the full version, it's a small price to pay for supporting someone you believe in.

Thanks for the kind words and support. People like you are the reason why I develop games. Hopefully you enjoy the new version of the game. I love the aethestic changes the latest update brought but overall the game still feels unbalanced, especially when it comes to obtaining food. Traps trigger so rarely that they're not worth wasting resources on, which makes fishing overpowered by comparison. I hope the balance gets adjusted in future updates.
