My device is setup correctly according the app, but the firmware page is non responsive and remains blank. I assume my firmware is not up-to-date, as the calibration function is not working either - when calibration starts, the page remains blank, not showing speed or wattage. Because of both of these things, I cannot do any workouts, even through the Saris app. When I try to set my target wattage, it reads that my current wattage as the same without even pedaling. Not so smart trainer so far.

Connection with the smart trainer is a bit tricky but manageable. However, controlling the power doesn't work reliably, I often change the power setting in the app just to discover that the trainer still works with the previous setting. How hard should it be to fix? There haven't been updates for like forever!

Calibration and firmware update without a hitch. I even used the ergometer for my very first ride and although it loses connection as soon as put into the background, it worked fine for testing and updating the unit. In fact while Rouvy was not detecting my trainer, 8 detected it with this app and after that it showed up there too. Clearly not intended to keep pace with the big players, it worked with the two things I wanted to use it for.
