Dynamic Protocol

Version 2 is released and please take a look at the key features of the update.

Problem statement

Scientist including the Biologist, Life scientist, Engineers, Neuroscientist, Physicist, Clinical Doctors, Chemist all around the world makes a lot of protocols, which are to be followed in their experiment and work. The hundreds of protocol each amounting to 10 to 30 steps need to be followed routinely. The complexity arises in the number of the factors like that of the accessibility to the protocol during the time of the experimentation, the requirement for following with the great degree of accuracy the time, temperature, remembering some of the steps which are forgetful among all the steps, not able to read the protocol during experimentation and many more.

First app which helps in customising your own protocol:

The researchers are routinely comfortable to the self-made protocols. Additionally, the twitching of the time and temperature need to be done in the initial time period for establishment of the protocol. This app is targeted against all these pits falls.

Positives of the app:

The app gives a rich dynamic interface for the creation, editing and most importantly for running the protocol. The app once fed with the data will help you at the time of the experimentation by describing each and every step of the protocol individually, taking care of the time pertaining to the step. The app will remind you the time when you need to change to the next step. The app will read out the protocol with the "Read out for me" option. So essentially connect the phone to a speaker in the lab and hear out the protocol read to you aloud by the app. You essentially don't have to read the protocol paper again.

By means of long pressing any step of a protocol in the Saved protocol option you can designate the step as "Forgetful". The visual background of the Run the protocol will automatically change based on the temperature and the description of every step of the protocol will be clean and made in individual pages. The transition in the case of the timed steps will also be automatic.

The team effort of many made this possible...I thank Prof Dr. Bikash Medhi, my guide, philosopher, well wisher and a dynamic personality for being the backbone of this project. I thank Mr. Sattar from the Egypt in being a part of this project and help me with his amazing programming skills.

I thank my parents, elder uncle, anna, and family for being support with me. I thank Ms. Neha Dhir and Mr. Harikrishnan(my dear brother), for being the lead designing expert for this application. I thank my friends Dr. Rachna, Dr. Shruthi, Dr. Gautam and Dr. Kunal for their valuable inputs during the trail runs. I also express my gratitude to Dr. Durairaj Arjunan, the clinical expert of the app and Mr. Naresh, the statistical expert for the app.

Launch day

The birthday for this app is on 30/10/2016 by Shri Marimuthu in the presence of other delegates.

2. The app will essentially read out the entire protocol stepwise when the " read out for me" option is selected.
3. The user can select steps as forgetful by means of long pressing a step. The app will remind the user during the performance of a forgetful step.
