New: Support for Spritz Reading Mode
The app now features a rapid serial visual presentation reading mode (similar to Spritz). This allows reading large texts at unprecedented speeds and completing big chunks of reading material in no time.
The app has a faithful implementation of RSVP that is inspired by Spritz. Particular attention has been paid to:
* Proper alignment of words' horizontal position
* Optimum word placement and punctuation timing
Spritz reading plays text books in word-by-word succession and eliminates the need to move your eyes between words, lines and across paragraphs.
The app features many speed reading drills that improve your scroll reading speed, Spritz reading focus and overall reading retention.
Use this app to develop your speed reading technique through scroll reading and a number of highly effective game-like drills. The scroll reader has several built-in passages for your reading pleasure and supports different font settings plus the ability to load your own text file (in the full version). In the Practice section, the app will walk you through several exercises (including the popular Schulte Table) providing tips & tricks and allowing you to evaluate your performance at each stage.
The app drills are carefully arranged such that progress can be made systematically and in no time. Each drill is designed to have a mini-game feel and will target a specific set of reading skills combining elements of eye motion, vision span and visual perception.
The app will help you get rid of bad reading habits like regression (re-reading words) and sub-vocalization (silent vocal processing while reading). At the same time, you will develop several speed reading techniques that you probably didn't realize your brain is capable of learning. These include: scanning words in jump steps that are optimal for reading, block reading (recognizing multiple word without moving your eyes) and post-visual reading (recognizing words after your eyes sweeps past them).
The average person reads about 250 words per minute. With proper speed reading training, you can boost this figure up to a whopping 500 words per minute! That's twice the number of books you can read per year or half the time to learn what you need out of a news article. Early users of Speed Reading Coach have reported an immediate improvement in their reading speed upon completion of the first few drills.
Speed Reading Coach has a clean UI and has been designed from the grounds up to make your speed reading practice an absolute entertainment. More drills and reading material will be added in newer versions of the app.
We would love to hear your thoughts on Speed Reading Coach and implement any suggestions that can improve your training and speed reading experience.
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ for the latest updates on Speed Reading Coach and other development apps which are in the making.
If you like Speed Reading Coach please consider leaving us a positive review on Google Play or purchasing the full version.

SAT / ACT / GRE EXAM
SAT / ACT / GRE exam is standardised entrance test mainly taken by those candidates who want to study in the USA. The exam score is mandatory for those students who want to take admission in undergraduate courses in USA. The exam has a standard format and is divided into three sections. The exam has a set pattern of questions, curriculum, conditions of admission, and scoring etc. The paper structure, scoring scheme and pattern is standard and known to all. The exam is generally held for the purpose of granting admission in the undergraduate courses across the US. The exam is really important and almost all the colleges acknowledge the SAT as an entrance exam. The score of the SAT exam will determine your admission in your desired college. This makes the exam very famous among aspirants who want to take admission in undergraduate programmes in US.
SAT exam pattern
The SAT exam is designed to assess the skills of thinking and logical reasoning of the candidates. These are the basic skills that you acquire in your schools, but are highly valued at the college level as well. The purpose of conducting this exam is to evaluate students for their writing, reading as well as mathematical skills.
The total duration of the exam is 3 hours and 45 minutes. The SAT exam is divided into SAT Reasoning Test and SAT subject based Test. If you want to take admission in any US college on the basis of SAT reasoning score, it is just not enough to secure a seat in US colleges. But on the other hand, some colleges also consider the score of the subjects based exam. In most of the cases when we say SAT exam, it meant to the SAT reasoning test.
SAT reasoning test:
Writing: This section has essay type question section and multiple choice type questions. The essay section has allocated the time of 25 minutes.
Critical Reading: The critical reading section is divided into three sub-sections. The questions asked in this section are based on either short passage reading or long passage reading. The questions are multiple choice based questions. These questions generally evaluate a student's writing skills.
Mathematics: Mathematics section also consists of three sections. The total time allotted to this section is 70 minutes.
Eligibility for SAT exam: Students can appear in this exam either after completion of their Class XII from a recognised Indian university or education board or they can also take this test while studying in Class XII or Class XI. The students should keep college deadlines in mind while appearing in the exam. The scores that are finally considered depends upon the fact that in which college you want to apply. Students can reappear for the exam, but this action is not fruitful if higher scores are not expected.
The SAT is offered seven times a year in the United States; in October, November, December, January, March (or April, alternating), May, and June. The test is typically offered on the first Saturday of the month for the November, December, May, and June administrations. In other countries, the SAT is offered on the same dates as in the United States except for the first spring test date (i.e., March or April), which is not offered.

Parents can e-mail an HTML report in order to print out the log to submit to the kids' teachers. Multiple logs can be managed simultaneously.
It has been developed on Android 2.3 with a Droid X and compatibility-wise should work on any Android 2.1+ device with a camera. It relies on the zxing Barcode Scanner application to scan books. If you don't have that app, the phone should prompt you to download it the first time you attempt to scan a book. Book information can also be entered manually, in case the scan fails or there is no bar code (should be rare).
You'll need some books to scan. It should be pretty self-explanatory to get started, once the app is launched. You can also:
- long press a book in the log in order to add/edit book data or remove the book
- use the options menu to scan a book, enter book information manually, share the log, switch to a different log, create new logs, edit the name of the selected log or delete a log.
Note: An advert may display after sending the log.
### New in Version 1.1
This version adds some prioritized features, which have been requested by Users. It also adds cleanup for ICS and Jellybean devices and a few bug fixes. Your existing logs will be unharmed by this update.
This speed reading app is a fun, effective and FREE way to increase your reading abilities. You can safely leave your child with these books - there are no ads, links or any inappropriate content. Each book has a "Read to Me" mode, and you can just let the app tell the stories to your child. Controls are fairly easy even for a 3-year old.
• a collection of timeless classic fairy tales for kids
• read yourself or listen to the audio book
• custom colorful illustrations
• each book comes with an inlay puzzle
• every page is included in a coloring book for finger-painting
This is a demo of the full version. It has three target words while the full version has sixteen. To protect your children from inappropriate content, it contains no third party ads! If you like this app please upgrade to the full paid version.
I developed this app due to a frustration that beginning reader books have small fonts and pictures that take away focus from the text. Flash cards are an alternative, but they have no content and meaning and are boring.
- Uses a very simple print based font, meaning the letters look like the letters they are taught to write.
- The font is made as large as possible so that the child’s finger can point at each letter as they sound it out.
- The verses are alliterative and/or rhyming to promote phonemic awareness.
- The child is asked to find the target word on a screen of words that sound and are spelled similarly. The puzzles encourage the child to look for patterns in the words to find the correct answer.
- The book is filled mostly with phonetically spelled words.
- There are three target words (Cat, Cow, Dog) for a total of 12 pages.
- There is a read-to-me button that can be removed through an options menu.
- This app is appropriate for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade children.

Within the app, we may ask for (but do not save) a user’s date of birth to determine whether it’s appropriate for a child to use a particular feature. This app does not ask for personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13, and we will not intentionally collect any.
Additionally, Scholastic uses tracking technologies to determine how our app is being used by our visitors and to improve and customize it for our users. We use third party service providers to assist us in collecting and understanding app usage information. This data is stored anonymously and in aggregate and is not associated with any specific customer.
