The platform is solid. The issues are similar to other games in that free to play requires constant attention, and it's just not feasible for people with limited time. The other issue has to do with updates. When updates occur for new content, it requires new, additional "grinding" and there's only so much time available for that. Downsides? You can't save reports or email/ messages. They just disappear. Levels are messed up; someone much higher E.G. stronger can dust you. Bad level interaction

Since my original review in 2021 after my issue was resolved, I've been spending a little over $100 each month with no issues. Unfortunately, following the most recent update (voyager pt 2 arc), I've been unable to play. The game won't launch past 20%. If I do get in, I'll have a minute of play time before something freezes and I'll have to reboot. Which then doesn't load past 20%. The game is unplayable for me now. Guess it's time to delete and move on. They've already got a lot of $$$ from me

I am so far enjoying this game. I know it's a city/resource building game like a lot of others, but I really enjoy how you don't have to build massive armies to take on missions. My issue is with server latency. I have not had any problems with #Scopely games before, but server latency is an ussue. It makes it almost unplayable or very annoying in today's time. So I have to play the game during off times to mitigate this issue which will inevitably cause me to quit.

Star Trek Fleet Command Update 55 continues the Voyager arc with Captain Janeway returning to the bridge in order to resume command and find a way home for her crew.
