About this app

Important Notice – Read Before Installing:

The Scotiabank Digital Token app makes signing into specific Scotiabank apps easier than before by simply using this app to get a token value for login.

By pressing the button above and installing the Digital Token app published by Scotiabank, (known as ‘the app’) you:
(i) acknowledge, understand, and agree that the app may contain the functions and features described below, and
(ii) consent to the installation of this app, including the below functions and features, and to any future updates or upgrades to the app which may be automatically installed (depending on your device settings).

The functions and purposes of the Digital Token app are to:
- Register a soft token for two-factor authentication, using the device camera to scan a QR Code
- Use a soft token for two- factor authentication, which is unlocked using device-based login e.g., TouchID/FaceID

We may use and disclose the information that you provide to us in accordance with your account agreement(s) and the Scotiabank Privacy Agreement (

Terrible. Most of the time when I open the app, it tells me I have been locked out due to security issues on my phone. When I manage to open it and login, my digital token will be gone and I have to call Scotia to reset everything...

This is terrible. You have made this very difficult to follow. You certainly have not put yourself in the shoes of the customer when developing this. It is for you internally only. Very disappointing!

Used to be great ( on my Samsung galaxy s8) just got a pixel 4a and it opens with my password and is asking me scan a qr code (which I remember doing at initial set up) but I have an account. I'm not going to create a new account. There is literally no other option for me to do anything else in the app. Bull.
