Wonderful concept. Poor changes made. I originally got Scribd for the unlimited audiobooks and a monthly subscription. Now that Scribd has chosen to impose a credit system it no longer serves it's original purpose for me. Such a shame. It was great while it lasted but now I will undoubtedly be cancelling my subscription.
Something went horribly wrong. Update; I will be going back to amazon. Downloaded more books only to have those expire soon too. My library went from hundreds down to approx 20. Most of those are free on amazon. Before the last update the app was great. Now the search does not even come close to what I am looking for. Author's pages only have collections which are empty. Very sad. Tech support didn't help and now 95% of book are expiring. Soon I will be looking for a new service. 1 month should be long enough to fix your bugs!
Charging for audio books Bad move I'm really upset with the new credit system for audio books. It's way out there! Talk about a significant jump. There is absolutely no way i can justify these prices. And what's more, almost every book is marked our getting ready to expire. I think there's been some mismanagement and sadly we are paying for it. My first thought was to cancel right away but i will keep till the 20th. There are other options out there. I will make sure the people that i ranted and raved to know this as well.
Absolute shite Spends about a month supposedly "loading...", then does sweet FA. Utter rubbish. FOAD (English, last word is die, see if you can work out the others).
Farewell Audio books... Sadly I joined Scribd at the end of an era....got the app a few months ago because of the cheap, convenient, and abundant audio book collection. If I am to pay 8.99 for an extra audio book from the credit system then I might as well just buy the audio book from Amazon or Audible. *sigh*. Will probably cancel my subscription very soon. Oh well, it's been a good four months I guess.
Wish there were more I love the app and I'm more than happy to pay the subscription for the literature. This may sound crazy, but I wish there were more books! I like to go on goodreads and find books, then search for them on scribd. A lot of the time, scribd doesn't have it, so I eventually just started browsing through their selection to see what they do have. I'm not a big audio book person, so that change didn't bother me, but I can definitely see why people would be upset.
This update's all about making your Scribd experience even more seamless.
