Mobile deposit does not work It would be great if it worked, but tried various lighting, numerous photos, Samsung phone and iPhone on a bank printed check (no messy handwriting except for my signature) and it still does not work. I will go to the bank window tomorrow to deposit. There is no incintive for SDCCU to fix the app if I still do all the work at the ATM window.
No specific descriptions regarding their updates. "Various Updates" doesn't tell the user much on what has improved or fixed. As for the app, it's outdated and lacks the ability to pay at brick and mortar establishments. Needs to have the capability similar to Samsung Pay or Android Pay.
FIX YOUR APP UPDATE: Won't even initialize app. This app is a nightmare. Trying to deposit a check; trying to login; trying to check a balance. They're all somehow terrible. Nearly every single action results in a crash or an app reset. Most infuriatingly, the app mirrors/inverts the onboard camera (on multiple devices) making check deposit impossible. A crystal clear photo still results in a deposit amount that they say doesn't match what was entered. Absolutely useless app that has somehow only gotten worse.
Lags Bad and Forget Mobile Deposit This was a good app. But has not worked well in a while. You get error message all the time and once that happens; it's game over. You must uninstall and reinstall. Must fix as it appears this is happening to multiple people.
Mobile deposit consistently fails Great bank, awful app. Rarely updated and when it is, it seems to get worse. SDCCU's technology is so far below any other banks, they should be embarrassed. Mobile deposit can never seem to photo my checks after this last update, even when they are clearly printed. Extremely frustrating.
Emailed in part to SDCCU I'm surprised SDCCU doesn't read all the complaints about it's mobile app & the horrendous problems with some of the failing functions, primarily the mobile deposit function. I have complained multiple times to no avail. It used to be one of the best apps after the trial & error period fixed most of the issues. It is now a stressful frustration to use the mobile deposit feature. Unfortunately this credit union is going down hill in my opinion. I was used to the quality service. I will be closing my accts.
