SearchScene is a new browser that helps you save the planet as you search the web.


HOW IT WORKS:

The SearchScene browser is a secure, Firefox-based browser with privacy at its core. It uses the SearchScene charitable search engine as its default search engine and homepage.

Like other search engines, the SearchScene charitable search engine makes its money from search ads. The big difference is that, instead of hoarding it all, we donate 95% of our profits to charity, focusing on major international charities that are working hard to fight climate change and the suffering it causes. You can choose the charities you want to support by clicking on the heart-shaped charity icon at the top of our homepage.


PRIVACY:

Your privacy is important: we don't save your searches, we don't store the websites you visit and we don't track you across the web. All your searches are SSL-encrypted and we don't sell your data to advertisers or third-parties. Our browser also removes cross-site tracking cookies, social trackers, cryptominers and fingerprinters from every website you visit.


PUTTING YOU IN CONTROL:

You have full-control over how you use our browser: you can either keep SearchScene set as your default search engine and help save the planet with every search you make, or choose another search engine like Google. Either way, SearchScene is easily accessible from your new tab page and is also accessible by tapping on "Home" in the browser's main menu.


A FIRST-CLASS SEARCH EXPERIENCE:

SearchScene provides the latest, rich-content search results that you've come to expect from your usual search engine, like Google or Bing. This includes images, videos, news, detailed knowledge panels and instant answers embedded in your web search results. We also offer dedicated image search, news search and video search. Our search results are provided by Bing and enhanced with our own algorithms, giving you the latest search results and a truly first-class search experience.


DARK MODE:

Simply flick the switch in our side menu to activate Dark Mode and your search results will go dark. This is great for reducing eye-strain when searching the web, especially in low light.


TRANSPARENCY:

Ratings and reviews

If you want to help the environment, then using this app is by far the easiest but most effective way to do it. Like the web version it has great search results, beautiful scenery, and doesn't track your searches on their servers. It also offers bigger knowledge panels to find results quicker. 100% recommend you download! Keep it up!

As far as the searching results go, Excellent results, easy webpage,great options for personal homepage and settings and for a great cause. Only issues I have is I found it when searching for a privacy search engine. And I Doubt this is a privacy based engine. But if you don't care about privacy (which most people obviously don't) then this is an excellent search engine.

Literally a Firefox skin with Search Scene. I guess I could install Firefox with the appropriate search engine and benefit from account sync though.
