About this app

You can securely access your organization's wireless network after easy configuration using the SecureW2 JoinNow app. JoinNow only needs to be run once, then you'll be able to connect to your organization's secure Wi-Fi network.

How does it work? There are two steps that occur when you do the one-time setup:

The app will automatically download your organization's Wi-fi configuration settings and install them on your device.

Your device will connect to the network through a secure, encrypted connection.

From there on, you don't need to do anything beyond leaving JoinNow on your device. You'll be able to effortlessly connect to your network.

Please note:

Deleting the app (or deactivating it through an "app sleep" feature, as seen on Samsung devices) will remove the Wi-Fi configuration settings, interrupting your Wi-Fi connection.

Google's Android device policy is the reason why you are required to set a screen PIN lock once your device is configured for connection to secure wireless networks. This is not a SecureW2 JoinNow policy. Your screen PIN lock must be enabled, otherwise you may experience issues with connectivity.

Update: Got a new phone (Pixel 8 Pro) & had issues connecting to eduroam. Certificate would be issued but network would not be saved. Retried the popup several times to no avail. Tried again the next day & managed to succesfully connect with the "save" button this time. Maybe the "hit box" or whatever of that button is too small/altered on this model phone?

Tried setting up my university nrtwork with this and it did not work. No network settings changed. After entering info, app indicated I should get a save settings prompt, but that did not show up. Instead I was just taken to the main choose network screen. In the end, downloaded certificate and set it up manually. Don't know if it is an app issue or a university configuration issue. Tried on a second device and again found installer to be totally no help, not working.

Hello M Liang-Gilman, We are sorry to hear about your experience with the app. I have not received any email from you since the last time you posted. If you can send us an email from the app with the app logs attached, this should help us identify the cause of the issue and help to fix it. Regards SecureW2. (Edited from the previous post)

The initial setup can be iffy. Then it keeps booting me off the network daily. When you get out of range and the network disconnects you have to re register. When this app works, it works. Update: over one year later, my experience has only gotten worse. The app barely works for me, and I have to uninstal third party browsers as this app is incompatible with them every time I need to reconnect after the app randomly boots me off.

Hi, we apologise for the issue that you are seeing. You need to run JoinNow app to configure your WiFi only once. Once the configuration is done; you can simply click the Network that has been configured from the WiFi settings of your device to connect, without requiring to run the App again.

What's new

1. A few Android 12 and above versions have issues in getting the `Save Wifi Configuration pop-up` This is fixed.
2. Minor bug fixes.
