Swifin is a mobile payments and distributed banking service exchange. The Swifin service powers mobile commerce and agency banking. It is operated as a pre-paid mobile enabled payments exchange for real-time settlement and reconciliation of cashless payments to facilitate financial inclusion and global mobile commerce.
It is for both private and business use and it can enable Banks, Micro-Finance Institutions, Credit Unions, Savings and Credit Institutions and other Community Organisations and businesses like Schools, Colleges, Universities, Post Offices, and Local Government Departments to receive and make payments thereby enhancing financial inclusion for both banked clients and for millions of the unbanked citizens around the world.
Financial Institutions and merchants can use the App to serve customers beyond their traditional branch network, empowering them to deliver services and capture new revenue streams with minimal capital expenditure. Partner Financial Institutions can expand their operations, serve new branch networks and swiftly enter new markets with the confidence of the cloud based mobile enabled core banking service capability built into the App. In the UK, the Swifin service is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority with registration number 900475 for e-Money issuance and as a payments and remittances service. In other jurisdictions the Swifin service is delivered in partnership with regulated financial institutions.
For individuals, the App allows cost effective local and international payments to support local and international commerce. Merchants can use the App as a Mobile Point of Sale to collect payments from other users.
