Ratings and reviews

The Shining Force games are S Tier hands down, but the emulator has two fundamental flaws. The D-Pad is horrendous. You're gonna be running all over the place when you just wanted to move one space to the left. The save feature sometimes leads to an endless load screen every time, and the way only way out is to restart the app. Don't try to rely on it. Huge plus, ads in the unpaid version are very unintrusive and minimal, but I went ahead and bought the game bundle for $5.

A shot of nastolgia directly into the brain and heart. I admit that the control UI is a little annoying to work with, but with tweaks over a couple of hours of gameplay, I have it perfect and it runs smoothly. The control UI aside, it's a brilliant port. The sound is exactly as I remember it. This is the first game I played as a child who could read (albeit not well back then). That sense of joy is still there. I am so glad to have this trilogy for such a ridiculously good price 😩 Amazing port!

Do not bother wasting time on this app until fixed. I grew up with these games and was glad to see that I could play them on mobile. Unfortunately, due to very questionable controls, crashes, and perpetual loading screens are frustrating 😑 and a bug that prevents you from being able to save your play session, losing all progress. Try it for free, but I absolutely recommend not buying this app until you tried it. I would not even recommend trying it if there has not been an update since 3/16/25.
