Sakata Gintoki CV: Sugita Tomokazu
The leader of the Yorozuya, he'll do anything asked of him.
He has such a sweet tooth that he gets irritated if he doesn't have a regular supply of sweets.
Although he is usually listless and lethargic, he is actually a skilled samurai.
A former anti-foreigner patriot, he was a master swordsman so skilled that he was feared as the "White Demon," but now he only uses a wooden sword.
Shimura Shinpachi (CV: Sakaguchi Daisuke)
The son of a sword-fighting dojo that was completely abandoned due to the sword ban and the loss of his father.
Shimura used to work part-time, but in fact, he can't even operate a cash register properly. After Gintoki saved his sister from debt collectors, he began working at a general store hoping to learn from Gintoki's spirit. However, he soon regrets this decision...
... He traveled all the way to Earth, hoping to make a fortune in Edo, but ended up working as a bodyguard for the Yakuza. He grew tired of it and ran away, where he met Gintoki.
To save up money to return home, he takes a part-time job at a general store. He has a cute face, but he's a big eater, violent, and sharp-tongued.
