I seem to have to log my sleep hours manually, it's unable to automatically figure it out. It also doesn't detect I'm in bed until the morning after a full night's sleep. I thought it was going to be smarter than this. A few more days and it'll be going back.
I purchased a ThermoPeanut. It used to work quite well. But since last week, the data synchronization and event triggering service became super unstable, and was completely broken since 8pm, 9/27, 2017. The Bluetooth connection between my phone and the Thermo is good. I can still read instant temperature value. But it just can't get synced to my online account. Without data synchronization and event triggering, this Peanut is totally useless to me.
For the requirement of creating an account and the access of my location.. [Update] Now it doesn't even work anymore. Alarm sounds on configured time. Although I'm already awake and moving.
For Thermopeanut - seems to work well but remember...range is short.
This is for the thermo peanut. The app is OK but the device's weak Bluetooth signal only works from less than 15 feet away. You essentially have to stand within visual range of the peanut making the product no better than a digital thermometer. Also the connection process is frustrating since the device doesn't actually pair with the phone, it rejects the pairing but that means it has been found and is actually connected. A magical combination of closing the app, restarting it, and re-connecting to it a few times usually works.
This review is about the "sleep Peanut" part of the app. It's like "let's create something like 'Sleep as Android', but worse": 1. The peanut pairing procedure is horrible unstable, took me like 20 minutes and 5 tries to get it working 2. The sleep tracking is intransparent. There is no "start tracking now" button. 3. The alarm itself is very limited. No raising volume, no custome sounds. 4. The alarm is badly implemented. I need to unlock the phone to see the tiny notification, instead of having a proper full-screen alarm. 5. There's no way of setting up the alarm range (plus/minus a specified number of minutes around the wakeup time). 6. Why the heck does it need an Internet connection during the tracking? Don't tell me that you're analysis system is too sophisticated to be handled by a phone. In the end, it seems to be an acceleration sensor with a Bluetooth chip and a microcontroller for too much money, bad software, and a privacy issue.
We have some new exciting features for you! You can now edit your last night and delete it as well.
We’ve also added some "presets" when you install a new ThermoPeanut. This way you are now one tap away from applying the best settings for your bedroom, fridge and so on..
This version also contains some various speed improvements and bug fixes.
