MyMobileCoverage 1st place, CellMapper 2nd, OpenSignal tied with Sensorly 3rd, RootMetrics distant 4th but getting worse. But we should use all of them at the same time to create evidence carriers can't ignore. Each collects different data needed to see network problems.
After last update the new swipe features on the map were a bit confusing. Took me a couple weeks to realize the swipe update... Thought the maps were jacked up. ...minus one star for not being able to see other users speed tests
Data hasn't shown up on the map for over a week now. I looked at Details -> Reporting it has said over 5000 messages to send and status says sending for at least the last few days. Seems nothing is being sent to the server.
Great idea, app is nice and easy to use, but, whether I'm on the website or in the app, I'm always getting "The servers are overloaded, try again later". I've tried at different times of day, for the past few days. 'Maps' seems to work, speed test works. 'Compare' doesn't load. Haven't had time to test the 'map a trip' yet. Will try again, another time.
I use this all the time to map T-Mobile during my travels. I leave it in passive mapping until I go on longer trips. Then I change it to Map a Trip and plug it into the power plug and let it do it's thing. Uploads almost immediately. Good app!
Very nice... Gives a nice real world baseline expectation for coverage. Just small complaints... No gray circles to indicate a reading with no signal. The data displays slowly while website shows the data immediately.
