Excellent training aid for student pilots. I haven't used it in the air yet, but I've had all sorts of fun using this, along with the VOR app, in my car while I'm driving. Select a nearby NDB, then sit back and enjoy the show. It tracks the station smoothly, as long as you have a semi-decent GPS signal. The heading indicator is neat, in and of itself. Very realistic operation. Would be even better if I could use both apps, side by side, at the same time.
[Update] Menu does not work on Galaxy S7. Do not buy till fixed. It would work when fixed easier than the real ADF because this app's compass indicates your track. The real ADF indicates your oriented heading. Using this app on your IMC revalidation test would be cheating because this app factors out your wind drift correction angle. Please add an option to use the devices magnetic compass and accelerometer to indicate magnetic heading for 5 stars.
Not updated. I loved the app on my previous phone that had a permanent menu hard button at the bottom of the screen. On the new android devices though we do not have a menu button (only back and recent apps) so you cannot tune the frequency. I have both the adf and vor paid versions and will be uninstalling as it does not work. Please update the app
"Move to get bearing" -- HELP After "wait for gps" message clear,, then come up new message "move to get new bearing"....??? NDB station around me has been detected, but still..... the ADF needle won't move (message still appearing and blinking) I like VOR software one because it is working. Please help me out,, or just give me refund.... 🙂 (Samsung S5. All sensor confirm in good condition)
Unable to select other stations The apps is unable to tune to other stations located. Please help to look into it.
It's an app That's exactly what it is...an app. If you really need to fly your plane with a phone instrument, then you deserve to get lost.
