Live video playback has gotten better but is still plagued by issues of not able to display live video on any remote phone or tablet. The issue comes up even when Remote device is connected to a very solid internet connection in the same home as the century device. The remedy is to restart the Sentri device. My device is hooked up by a very reliable Wi-Fi (65Mbs down 6 Mbs up) It also has the same issues when plugged in through Ethernet. The issue is not a connectivity issue but something within the device itself that loses the ability to produce and send out video to remote devices after a period of time. The issue could easily be resolved if you could remotely reset the Sentri device therefore resetting the video feed which always works for me after the reset. Device is a fabulous concept if It could only remedy the poor video performance could be used as a reliable security device. Without reliable video the device has very limited usefulness
Good concept, poor execution got this on sale for Christmas and it sounded like a great deal, big mistake. Software feels very minimal, can only turn my smart lights on or off, no brightness or color control. No option to delete history and constantly triggers for no apparent reason, no motion or loud sounds. Previous reviews promise all sorts of great updates from the developer but app hasn't been updated since nearly a year ago. Waste of money
Add devices glitch and video playback issue Video won't give me a live feed after multiple restarts and with good Verizon 4G connection. Separately, the app won't actually let me add a device. Every time I touch add device, it only shows my Nest device and leaves me with no mechanism to add a new device account.
App does not work properly. Monitor display shows activities detected but app shows no activities. App barely works when phone is home. Unable to use app when away from home. Siren option was available only one day then the option disappeared since. I now have a very expensive but useless piece of equipment. Technical support is a joke . No return emails when Sentri realized their product does not work. Should have purchased unit from Amazon so unit can be returned. 01/11/16 Update After using Sentri for more than one month with two app updates and one SW update on Sentri itself, I can say that Sentri is finally becomes useful. The hardware is a nice piece of equipment. The Android app works more than 80% of the time at home but only three times in remote locations during a 35 day period. The siren option reappears but it is not loud enough. The video review option also returns and it works. So I upgraded the rating from one to three stars. The Android app still need works to ensure it works in remote location consistently. When that happens, it will be a 4-5 stars! 3/12/16 Finally Sentri fixed the Android app and it works both at home and at remote location consistently.
