About this app

Built on cutting edge Natural Language Processing and trained on thousands of hours of real therapy sessions, Serena is a virtual companion for emotional support. With Serena, you will always have a safe space to engage in open ended self reflection – whenever or wherever you might need it.

Our users have used Serena as a:

Complement to mental health therapy
Short form journaling
Companionship app
Tool for working through emotions

Serena’s fully generative architecture avoids canned responses and allows you to truly explore what you feel and why. Extensively tested by our clinical advisor – a licensed psychiatrist – Serena is optimized to avoid harmful responses and to demonstrate emotional intelligence.

We designed Serena to help you work through your issues, not to judge you. Her training data is based on hundreds of actual person centered therapy (PCT) sessions. Also known as Rogerian therapy, PCT therapy is an open-ended approach to counseling that focuses on helping the subject uncover the root causes of what is bothering them.

Serena is not intended to diagnose or treat mental illness or any medical condition. If you are experiencing acute symptoms or suicidal thoughts, please call the emergency services in your location.
