I had Angies list for 5 years. I used it a dozen times with amazing success. I was happy with every company I used. Recently they were purchased, changed how their system works, and changed the name to Angie. I've tried the new system for 2 projects. The results have been poor. It appears the business model has changed. It used to be clients paying to get access to a list of honest customer reviews to make an informed decision. Now, the customers are the business and you are the product.

Non-stop advertising and solicitation. I did 1 search for a service. I did not request a quote or even select a company. That was 3 weeks ago, and Angi shared my number with a dozen companies, and I've been getting mutple calls every day starting at 8AM saying they are "calling about my project request." I removed permission to call or text me on the app, and the calls kept coming. I asked them to put me on their do not call list, and the calls kept coming. It's now bordering on harassment.

I've booked several times through Angi, and my experience has usually been bad. This week, for example, I used their concierge service, and the person never showed up -- yet Angi marked the service as completed, and charged me. There's no ability to note this in the app, or to request a refund. I've been waiting on the app's "24/7" support chat for over an hour, with no response.
