Ratings and reviews

The app asks for pictures and details and then apparently doesn't pass them along to the contractors. When you click to follow-up on "communications" or auto- replies from contractors, the pages fail to load and you can't exit out of the error. It results in a dead-end where you have to force close the app. Within minutes of submitting the request for quotes, you're asked to review the completed work/repair when you haven't even received a single quote. Wow, this is bad. Uninstalling.

Terrible. Was waiting on a delayed package to arrive, having forgotten I scheduled it to be put together today on Angi. Got back from work and tried rescheduling, said I couldn't do it within 2 hours and get a refund. This left me with no chance but to cancel. Tried calling the person in charge of the booking, was sent to voicemail. Tried appealing my case with a live agent, was basically told "Sorry, but sucks to suck". $130 down the drain, for something that wasn't even my fault. Never again.

I had Angies list for 5 years. I used it a dozen times with amazing success. I was happy with every company I used. Recently they were purchased, changed how their system works, and changed the name to Angie. I've tried the new system for 2 projects. The results have been poor. It appears the business model has changed. It used to be clients paying to get access to a list of honest customer reviews to make an informed decision. Now, the customers are the business and you are the product.
