It's ok. I really would like to approve lead costs before acceptance. I freeze leads often. If left unattended, it can run up a bill very quickly. But, all in all, it's fine. Once my clientele is steady, I will reconnoiter my situation, and see where Home Advisor sits in that equation. On a side note: one nice thing is that if I want to move to a new location, I feel that I have a resource to find new customers quickly with Home Advisor. Complete Home Remodeling LLC
Should be able to pause your leads as long as you want. Not 1 or 2 days at a time. Makes no since unless your trying to sneak leads to people who you know are busy. And rack up 10 dollars here and there like like a ugly hunch backed penguin who needs his ass kicked.78 times.
Contractors beware! Home Advisor is a SCAM! They will lie, cheat, and steal at every turn. I had to pay for bogus leads with obviously phony names and numbers, and they refused to refund the lead fees. They offered me free leads if I didn't cancel, then charged me anyway. Told me they would zero my account balance, then charged me anyway. They openly admitted to lying, but wouldn't do anything to make it right. They charged me after I closed my account and refused to refund the money! Don't fall for this!
Good way to connect with potential customers. Overpriced. Leads were $7-12 when I started, now $16-20 and more shoppers than buyers. We'll probably drop them due to their unjustified rising cost. Getting charged for tire-kickers is a waste. HA needs to better screen leads. Also they don't verify the stuff they say they do.
It has everything you want... if it all works. My notes for each client magically disappear. It says I never call my leads within 24 hrs, when I always call them immediately...which means I can't get a refund on a crappy lead which there are a lot of (for me as a handyman about 50%) and home advisor will give you refunds up till about 20%. I spend almost $500 on leads alone in a month. Oh and out of the 50% that are still good leads you fight to get them with 5-who knows how many other competitors, so I take home 15% of all the leads they give me, 5% covers their lead costs and 10% covers my bills...
The app is good for when you are in the field. However, it is very limited on what it can accomplish and if you have a problem there is a lot of unnecessary waiting for things that could be fixed in two minutes I would really like to be able to approve the proces for the leads prior to accepting them. If you do not freeze the leads after two or so you can easily rake up a very expensive bill.
Performance improvements and various bug fixes.
