LOVE IT!!!! I love all different kinds of music. I'm always hearing great music on the radio, or while shopping,etc. But when it comes time to download music on my phone, I would draw a blank every time! My memory SUCKS!!!! I used to have to struggle to find some paper to write them down when I heard them. Shazam is soooo easy ! I just pull up the app, hit the S button, and it listens to whatever is playing, and immediately, the name pops up on the screen. It saves them all as well.

I used to LOVE this app (I used to have it rated 5 stars), but for at least the last couple months it can't seem to identify anything. It now seems to have trouble with even well known songs on mainstream radio stations. It pairs with Spotify (a feature that I really liked) but whether a song is on Spotify doesn't seem to have anything to do with whether it will pick up the song either. The speaker quality can be great, the background noise low, the song well known, and it STILL won't work 💔

I used to love this app. I still use it but I would say within the last year there are more instances of not being able to find songs. Songs that are not that old and very clear to hear. A few times it gave me a song based off the beat and not the lyrics so it provided me the wrong song, and very rarely when it gives the wrong song will it provide a different match if you Shazam it again.

What's new

You can now open classical songs from Shazam in the Apple Music Classical app. Simply Shazam or search for a classical song, tap the menu icon on the track page and select "Open in Classical".
