Only able to recognise, about 20% of the time, tracks in sets (psyambient) where as in previous versions (maybe 4-5 updates ago) it used to detect 70-80% of tracks. Have you turned off a bunch of server's or something? Why substitute looks for function? Your ruining what was once a great idea. Thanks for the years of symbian and Android but clearly your app is now in its sunset faze

This app is some nonsense. It takes me seven tries to find the song and on the seventh one, the song it finds sounds nothing like the one I shazamed in the first place. Not to mention it keeps telling me to get closer to the sound. I will literally have my phone pressed against the speaker while the sound comes through at the highest volume and it still won't pick anything up. What is this guys??

Music recognition is great, but there few issues: its impossible to change your email address and no export for your Shazams. You can't record samples without internet. App supports it, when you have a slow connection. But you can't do it completely without internet. It would be great to allow to record samples without internet, so when I get back to WiFi I'll upload them and will get back the names of the songs Update: then there is probably some issue, because today in the bus the app declined to start with the message that I'm not connected to the internet. So I couldn't even launch the app without internet

This is the worst app ever. The last few updates have ruined a good thing. I have been using this app since it first came out. I even paid for the encore version at one point, however with the last couple of updates the app fails to find a match. I have the app running on a LG Volt, and on a BLU Pure XR. I haven't been able to tag songs in months. Even songs that I know the name of Shazam fails to find a match.

This is awful!!! I liked it a long while back. Now I can't even get it to work for any song I play....I even came across a commercial that says "Shazam for a Joyful Surprise" and it wouldn't even recognize that!!! I don't know what you've done to this app but I REALLY dislike it....it's so disappointing....I'm gonna uninstall this app now....please make sure the next update fixes this horrendous problem....otherwise I won't ever download it again and I'll inform my friends that downloading this app will only lead to severe disappointment....

Honestly I would like this app 100 times better IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I've had the problem for about 2 years now and it has never been fixed it just awalys says sorry we didn't catch that every time so can someone FINNALLY fix this for me please?!!

Useless for me. The main thing I needed this app for was to find songs I didn't know the names to, and every single time, it could never "Hear" the song. No matter how loud, close, far, or low the song was playing.. Pointless.

This was a download for lays chips?!?! And then when you scan the code for a CURRENT EVENT... it says coming soon?! So you guys are claiming to have a say yes to summer giveaway... And then don't even have the event going on?! This seems like it was a scam to download your product. If I could NEGATIVE 5 STARS YOU FOR THAT I WOULD!! THERE was no "bubbles to scratch" or even event I do given. Just "COMING SOON" and nothing else! I WILL NEVER USE THIS APP AGAIN. And will NEVER bother with a lays chips event again. This was a waste of my time! What does chips and a music finder app have anything to do with eachother anyhow!?!??! If I would have known this was just a ploy to download a "music finder" I wouldn't have wasted my time. I HAPPILY USE TrackID!!

tried this app 2 times never recognizes any songs no matter how accurate or loud I make the song! I even sang the name of song and it did not get it, pretty stupid app if this is what it does

this APP is only good for system music and famous ones. It cannot tell human voice, and it cannot find some unpopular songs. What makes me angry is it does not identify the reason of failure. fair enough as a Free app

Was great until the latest update. Now it doesn't correctly pick up any songs at all. I even tried doing it at different parts of the song including the chorus.. it comes up with these weird artists and tracks I've never heard if and in different languages.

How can I reverse the upgrade? It was awesome till the last update. Now it doesn't recognize any song that is shorter. I could just point at the tv and got the song in seconds now it is oppose, agghr and eh try again. I do not want this version I want my old Shazam back

It used to work very well, but now it does not recognize the songs I try to play. It works only 30% of the time. Try to fix it on how it uses to be, one that actually recognizes the song without a problem.

This app is a piece of you know what! Used to be good, now it isn't. Uh, shouldn't apps be getting better over time, not worse? Isn't functionality supposed to be improved, not worsened? Does nobody there actually test the thing before releasing a new version? Did you decide to let mentally challenged people who live in a group home work on the app because you felt sorry for them? Well fire them and hire back the hipster d- bags who worked on it originally in the early days. No more tard apps!

This app is terrible, unless it's a mainstream song that you want to know the name of the artist and song is non existent. I listen to alot of trance and other edm music and it's got no clue who anyone is. There's 100's of "A state of trance" songs I've been trying to find out and this app was pointless, it didn't no any of them, not even the more mainstream songs. I'd avoid personally

Last number of times i've used the app, it fails completely to actually find the music. Often showing poor covers instead of the actually track that's playing. Assuming what it finds even remotely resembles the track! Also you can't open the youtube video in youtube, so you cannot view it full screen.

It never picks up what you sing or play. I tested it with Man in the Box by Alice in Chains 3 different time and it said it didn't hear anything even when I was yelling. Don't get this app. Its just a waste of space.

This app went from the best way to find new music. Now I'm lucky if it can get the song right after 3 tries, and it still misidentifies the song. Fix now!!

Used to be excellent. Not anymore. With the new look you can't tell if it's really listening other than it says it is. Unlike older versions that graphically moved to the beat of the music. The worst part is that it only identifies songs 1 out of 10 times.

App is useless after last update. Instead of listening to the track I'm trying to identify, i get an ad. Until this is fixed I'll be using a different app for music identification. If fixed it will go back to 5 stars.

This used to be great. But after the last few updates it's now unable to detect any sound even if it's really loud, and no longer recognises most songs! It used to recognise about 90% of the time I used it, and now it can't even detect the sound. What's going on? Using s7 edge BTW.

Shazam used to be great, recognising songs in seconds. However after the last few updates it now doesn't work at all - it's almost like it's not connected to my microphone when 'listening'. A good app now totally unusable. If there's no update soon, it's getting uninstalled.

The app now runs like garbage after the latest update. Freezes all the time and is full of bugs. Give us a way to revert to the last **BETTER** update or make a new one with a new look, performance, and better ui and options.

Not sure what they changed but since I got android 7.0 this will NOT work. "Get closer to the sound" .... impossible when I'm sitting next to the speaker. Disappointing since it's worked so well for 2+ years that I've used it.

It's the best music app you could ever find. It actually gives you the answer of "what's that song?". It recognizes all the music. One thing, It could be much helpful if you didn't need WIFI to track the songs.

Wow Shazam use to be good. I recently shazamed a popular Chinese song 3 times and it pulled up 3 different EDM trap music from Zeta, Skrillex, and some other wierd artist...... Two totally different type of music that isn't even identical to each other...... Is it because the Chinese language sound so much like the edm instruments ???........

Very disappointed, used to find so many songs. Now it hardly finds any and when it does it takes up to 5-7 tries. What happened??? Can't find EDM songs anymore or even songs from tv.

There is an annoying sign that appears too often that says it is recording audio. It doesn't let you do anything unless you press the "ok" button. Very annoying, but the app is good at identifying music, can't complain about that.

Doesn't work any more. "Ooops didn't catch that" for every song. Also should store previous shazams in the cloud. Annoying as it was a good app in previous versions.
