SHELL PAY & SAVE
This mobile payment application provides a secure and convenient way to pay for fuel at the comfort of your car, as well as purchasing any items inside the store at participating Shell stations in the United States.
• You can link your Shell branded credit cards, checking account (via Shell S Pay), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or directly add your credit/debit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
• To pay for fuel outdoors, simply unlock the pump using the app. Or to pay inside the c-store, present the app QR code to the cashier. Either way, you are back on the road in no time. Everything you need is in the app, including loyalty program integration, receipts, offers, and station locator.

FUEL REWARDS® PROGRAM
Shell Pay & Save eliminates the need to carry multiple cards, reduces the number of prompts you have to answer, and is integrated with the Fuel Rewards® program so you can save automatically on every fill up, every day!
• New to the Shell app? You can earn a one-time 25¢/gal savings by downloading the app and completing your first Shell Pay & Save fuels purchase.
• All Shell app users earn additional savings for continued use of Shell Pay & Save.

Ok. Cool. It was great when the app worked. I really enjoyed the pay at the pump feature, plus my little discount. However, for the past 2 months, it doesn't work at all, and there is no update or bug fix in sight. Is shell losing money on all the discounts and shut it down? The only response we get is an generic unhelpful computer response. See below.

Same as others. Whatever they are doing on the backend of this app makes it unreliable for the users. The last month or so, my rewards won't load when paying for fuel. I did notice one of the times, it wouldn't load in app, but I think it still gave me credit on the pump. Either way, it's unreliable if the discounts will actually count or if you'll be stuff finding other ways to pay.

The app, and it's integration with Fuel Rewards for fuel discounts, only worked for me about 75% of the time. Eventually I got frustrated and swore the app off. Lately, I stumbled across a discount that was good enough for me to try again. Shame on me for not learning my lesson. It didn't take the discount off. If I can't rely on this, I'll go the station down the street that's cheaper without a frustrating app.
