STO Bus Tracker allows transit riders to locate bus stops on offline map, view bus arrival times, and request live schedule updates. No Internet connection or data plan is required, the app is fully functional in offline mode.
It is everything STO commuters need. Loaded with a full size map of Outaouais, as well as all 1,916 bus stops and 24,579 bus trips of STO, the application allows you to easily locate bus stops close to you and track scheduled arrival times at those stops. This makes bus schedule look-up much more convenient, especially from smaller screens of mobile devices.
The application utilizes GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) data provided by STO, which is being published regularly. It uses GPS to help locate your location on the map. It works completely offline, which is ideal for typical Canadians who don't have data plan or have limited data quota. Also since you don't connect to Internet, there is no worry that your geolocation could be tracked or known to third parties. So your geolocation privacy is guaranteed to be protected.
The application allows you to easily request real-time arrival information from STO Infobus using phone call or SMS.
